Like a nail, he hammered himself deep into her heart.
But when he finally breached the hilt, he found out that he broke it.
The little pieces scattered around him like splinters and every step he took, pain scorched the bottom of his foot.
Now he knew how she felt.
Vulnerable and bare.
That's why she had barred her heart and he had been audacious enough to tear down her walls and also break her heart.
