Chapter 43

Mona, Trace, Ty, and Cloud searched the area again but couldn't find a thing. They all went to Dr. Nick's building. "The King will need to stay here and rest for at least a week before flying back home." Dr. Nick said. "Well.. I guess that gives us plenty of time to fix the castle." Mona said with a smile. She had sworn her life to King Tayshi and the thought of staying home a little longer made her happy. Mona, Trace and Ty worked on the castle for four days while Cloud stayed with the King. King Tayshi had woken up and stretched on the fourth day. "That rest was well needed. You ready Cloud?" Tayshi asked as he hopped off of the hospital bed. Cloud picked up the bag of supplies. "You have to lay back down! You need a full week of rest!" Holly said. "He's fine. His body fought off the effects of the poison quicker than most." Dr. Nick said. "Thanks Doc!" King Tayshi said as he and Cloud walked out. They went straight to the castle.

Once they reached the throne room Tayshi noticed that Trace was sitting in the King's seat. "Ahhh.. so you are the past King's son. I wanted to ask you.. why'd you run away back then?" Tayshi asked firmly. The room was silent. Trace felt his eyes watering. He shook his head. "I.. I was afraid. I didn't know what to do so I ran. I regret it more than anything but I will try my best to lead this country despite what has happened." Trace said. King Tayshi smiled. "There is nothing wrong with being afraid sometimes. I see you came back to fight. That means your loyalty is here with your country. You will be a great King." Tayshi said. He noticed that Mona and Ty were standing on each side of Trace. "Have you decided to stay here?" Tayshi asked Mona. "No. I swore to obey you." Mona answered. "This is your home. I would be wrong to take you from here. The promise is off." Tayshi said firmly. Mona looked at her brother. Ty mouthed the word "Go." Mona shook her head. "Forget about the promise. I want to repay you. It would be dishonorable for my country if I did not go back with you." Mona said. "Let's head out then." King Tayshi said with a grin.

Mona hugged her brother tightly. "Take care of our home. I'll be back someday." Mona said. "Ty decided to become my right hand man. You can count on us." Trace said firmly. King Tayshi, Cloud, and Mona started flying back towards Todo on a cloud. After hours of riding they finally landed at their Castle. Queen Seli came outside holding Rain and they hugged Tayshi. "I was so worried about you guys!" Seli said as she hugged Cloud and Mona. Everybody went inside and washed up. Seli made chicken and rice for dinner. "I saw on the news that your brother became the new King! I hope everything is well." Queen Seli said. "He's stronger than he thinks. I'm sure he will be a strong King." Mona said with a smile. They finished dinner while talking happily then they were all off to bed.

King Tayshi was up thinking later that night. He left the castle and went for a walk. He put on a watch and pressed a few buttons. A hologram of a man appeared. "It's been a long time little bro!" the mysterious man said. "Yeah it has! I can't talk to you often until I finally decide to tell Seli about you. She can be very observant." King Tayshi said. "So what's up? There haven't been any strange movements here in Kiri." the mysterious man said. "A war is coming. I've decided to assemble a small team and I would like for you to be a part of it." King Tayshi said. "Of course. Just give me the word and I'll take out the whole Sho Force." the mysterious man said. Tayshi laughed. "I don't doubt that you could but let's keep you on the low for now. I want to introduce you to my little family soon." Tayshi said. "Alright little bro! See you soon!" the mysterious man said as his image disappeared. King Tayshi walked back home and went back to bed.
