Chapter 35

Jaz did her usual monthly meeting with the King of Todo. "So I heard the news. You killed the brute that runs Maymo? That's crazy!" King Tayshi said. He laughed. Jaz put her head down. "What's wrong?" he asked. "I... I couldn't protect..." Jaz said. She started sobbing. The King took her into his arms to comfort her. "I understand. I.. also failed at saving a life." Tayshi said softly. The Queen told him everything that happened at Maymo. "Wow. If I would've known about the situation I would've thunder clapped their whole country!" Tayshi said. Jaz laughed. "Nah but if you ever get into trouble don't be afraid to ask for help. That Tri-Force you have seems trustworthy and strong. I hope that I can have a force as powerful as them on my side someday!" Tayshi said. "My side is your side. We're in this together." Jaz said with a smile. A few months after their conversation the King was attacked by a squad that was instructed by Cam. After going back to Todo the King decided it was time to train a force of his own.

The King of Todo had a secret. He likes to roam around Kiri every now and then but without notice. He was very depressed after being attacked by the Queen's men so he decided to take one last trip to Kiri. He stumbled upon a gym and saw a girl that caught his eye. She was working harder than anyone else within the gym and was giving it her all. She started to struggle while lifting some weights so the King walked over to help. She had headphones in and was startled. "Hey! Aren't you the King of Todo!?" she asked loudly. Everybody in the gym looked over. King Tayshi wasn't good at disguises and he knew this. He had on glasses and a hoodie but he knew that somebody with a good eye could easily recognize him. He grabbed the girl and flew straight out the roof. She screamed. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" she asked. "I can't stay here! We have to go." the King said as they flew in the direction of Todo. "PUT ME DOWNN!" the girl yelled. The King started descending at an empty football stadium. They landed and she immediately stepped back from him. A bow appeared in her hand and arrows appeared on her back. She quickly drew an arrow back and pointed it at the King's face. "Are you really the King? If so, what do you want with me?" she asked firmly. The King took off his hoodie and glasses. "I am King of Todo. If I were you I would watch where you're pointing that." he said. "FIRE SHOT" she shot the arrow straight at him. The tip of the arrow caught fire as it soared towards his face. The King simply caught the arrow. "I shot you at point blank range! You're definitely the king. What's your purpose?" the girl asked him. "I shouldn't have to explain myself to you.. but since I kind of took you along with me I guess I have no choice. I was just visiting Kiri undetected for my own reasons. I saw you struggling at the gym and decided to help but you blew my cover." King Tayshi said calmly. The girl blushed. "Oh.. umm I'm sorry. My name is Seli if you were wondering!" Seli said excitedly. Tayshi smiled. "Would you like to visit Todo, Seli?" he asked. "Of course!" she said with a big smile. He grabbed her and they flew into the air. Once they reached Todo the King started flying at a slower pace. He pointed at landmarks and beautiful views. "I LOVE this." Seli said. "Wait until you see my castle!" Tayshi said. On the way there Tayshi heard a scream. He looked down and saw a strange fog. "We are taking a little detour." he said as he flew into the fog. While landing he spotted a kid robbing an old man. "Gimme all your shit old man! Run them pockets!" the kid yelled. He was waving a sword in front of the old man. "I can't.. see a thing." the old man said. "Wait here." Tayshi told Seli as he walked towards the scene. The kid pushed the old man to the ground. "Where's your manners kid? Did your parents teach you to behave this way?" Tayshi said. The fog was thick but the kid could see through it clearly. *"K- ..K-... King Tayshi?" the kid stuttered. The King walked up and thumped the kid on his forehead. The kid flew into a tree and rubbed his head. "Owwww!" the kid said. The fog cleared and Seli helped the old man to his feet. "Why do you act this way? Where are your parents? I will have a word with them." the King said. "I don't have any. They're... gone. My sho is all I have. I use it to help me live." the kid said sadly. The King felt bad for him. "That fog was your sho huh? You're really really young to have unlocked it this early. What's your name, kid." Tayshi asked. "I don't have one." the kid snapped. Tayshi walked over and hugged him. "I'll call you Cloud. Come with me. I'll show you how to be strong the right way." King Tayshi said. The kid started crying. "You don't seem like the type that would do something like this." Seli said. "I'm not, but this kid is special." Tayshi said. He put Cloud on his head and grabbed Seli. They continued their flight towards his castle
