Yoongi's bored voice and Jimin's enthusiastic one kept Hoseok tuned in during the entire tour. He found the contrast funny. Jimin was listing off some of the school rules while Yoongi pitched a few times with the word 'yeah' or the occasional 'I got in trouble for that once.'

"So," said Jimin as they entered. He rolled one of Hoseok's suitcases behind him. "This is the first floor."

He gestured all around them. There were several rooms with glass windows. The walls were lined with paintings and sculptures stood in corners of the room. Plants lined the corridors. Hoseok attempted to glance down one hallway, but was interrupted when Jimin continued.

"First floor is just the usual stuff. The office, the counsellors' offices, cafeteria down the corridor over there. . ." he pointed where Hoseok was previously looking before continuing. "Headmistress's office, et cetera. Bathrooms on every floor, and there's another cafeteria on the fifth floor."

Hoseok nodded along.

Jimin blinked and spun on his heel, seeming to remember something. "Oh! We can have the staff carry these up to your dorm room."

Jimin nudged Yoongi with his elbow.

"Right," said Yoongi. He grabbed all the suitcases and rolled them away with both hands towards the office. Hoseok kept his backpack on his shoulder.

Jimin explained more details regarding the first floor. By the time Yoongi was back, Jimin was asking, "Got all that?"

"Yes," Hoseok said. From the corner of his eye, he could see his suitcases being taken by some of the moving staff.

"Right, second floor," said Yoongi, taking charge for the first time. He led Jimin and Hoseok up the grand staircase in the middle of the first floor. When they arrived, he explained, "Okay, so here you'll find History, Language, Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, all the boring stuff."

Hoseok blinked. "Uh. . ."

Jimin's eyes twinkled. "The third and fourth floor are where things get exciting."

They went up more and more staircases. The third floor was where Music, Choir, Philosophy, Photography, Theater, and Design classes took place. The fourth floor was Literature, Painting, Art, Jewelry, Sculpture, and Ceramics.

The fifth floor was just another cafeteria and extra rooms for club meetings. There were a few groups of students inside the rooms, doing what Hoseok assumed was club related stuff. Floors numbered 6 and 7 were dorm rooms.

As they headed up to the sixth floor, where Hoseok's dorm room was, Jimin asked, "So, what do you major in?"

"Huh?"

"Y'know, what field of arts do you excel in?"

"Oh, uh. . . none, really," Hoseok muttered. He didn't even know you could major in something in high school, but he figured SSOA was just special like that. At the looks he got from Jimin and Yoongi, he added weakly, "But my timetable says I'm taking painting, music, literature, and ceramics?"

"You don't excel in any of the fields," Yoongi repeated, tone flat.

"He was homeschooled, babe," Jimin reminded.

"Babe?" Hoseok echoed.

Jimin nodded. "Yoongi is my boyfriend."

Hoseok blurted, "They allow that sort of thing here?"

Yoongi stopped walking and glared at Hoseok. "You got an issue, rich boy?"

Hoseok suddenly realized how that had sounded. "No, no! I meant--- I meant I thought dating in general would be against the rules, because this is a very prestigious school and they wouldn't allow distractions. . ?"

Yoongi held eye contact with Hoseok for a count of 5 before dropping the glare. "Yeah, well," he shrugged and they all continued walking, "as long as we get our work done, it doesn't really matter."

"Plus, having a significant other sometimes ends up being incorporated in your artistic pieces. It effects the quality of your work, usually in a good way," Jimin added. ". . . Well, unless you get your heart broken. Couldn't be me, though."

For Jimin's sake, Hoseok made sure to knock on a wood table that they passed by.

As they turned down a hall, Jimin asked, "So, what's homeschooling like?"

"Uh. . ." Hoseok wasn't used to being asked so many questions. When he hung out with Seokjin, it was the elder who did most of the talking. "Well, it's. . . boring."

"Very descriptive," Yoongi said sarcastically.

Hoseok winced. "Sorry," he said. "I'm not used to. . . all this." He gestured at the two boys, and then at the hallway they were walking down.

Yoongi frowned, and then shrugged again. "Fair enough."

They stopped in front of Room 128. Hoseok's suitcases were sitting in front of the door.

"Your roommate is probably inside," said Jimin. He handed Hoseok a key to the room. "It's Sunday afternoon, so there's not really any rush. That's why all floors except fifth were pretty empty."

"Clubs meet on weekends," Yoongi added. "In case you plan on joining any."

Hoseok just bit his lip and nodded. He didn't plan on joining any extracurricular activities. He was here to get good marks, graduate, and go back home. And then, y'know, rule the country, but whatever, he was trying to ignore that for now.

Yoongi headed down the hallway, pausing when he realized Jimin wasn't following.

"I'll catch up," Jimin said to him. Yoongi nodded and stuffed his hands into his pockets, leaving for the stairs.

Hoseok nervously shuffled his feet.

Jimin tilted his head. "You seem nervous."

That's an understatement, Hoseok wanted to say. Instead, he just nodded a little. "Yeah. I guess."

"I was gonna say if you need anything, you can text me, but you don't have my number, so. . . " He held his hand out. Hoseok pulled his phone out of his pocket, unlocked it, and handed it to Jimin. Jimin entered his number and handed it back, smiling.

"If you need anything at all, you can shoot me a text," he said. "Or if you just wanna talk, that's fine too. I don't know what it's like, or how scary it is, being homeschooled and then coming to this huge school, but I think you'll do well here. Just take it easy."

Hoseok nodded and tried for a smile. "Right. Thank you, Jimin."

He nodded and waved goodbye before going down the hall, the way Yoongi left.

At least there were nice people here. The thought put Hoseok at ease a little.

Hoseok turned the key in his hand, trying to muster up some courage. He entered it into the lock and turned it, pushing open the door.

Time to meet his roommate.
