*Leah's POV*

Slightly humming in my room I was putting on a tad of blush, gotta be perfect for the Grammy awards ceremony.
This week after the band Linkin Park released there music video called Crawling it got so popular that we're gonna see if it's gonna win a Grammy tonight,
I'm excited yes but at the same time wishing I don't have to go...

*Door opens* "Hi Leah, you uh almost ready?".
I shifted to see Rob in his tux standing in my doorway, his hair smoothed out and his outfit looking clean and straight.

I faked a smile "Yeah, almost" I whispered ever so softly looking back into my mirror,
From my mirror I saw Rob sigh, walk up to me and put his hands on my shoulders "I know you to well Lee, tell me what's up? Are you tired or something?" He guessed touching my shoulders softly.
I sighed taking the brush in my hands and staring down at it "it's just I don't wanna see Chester with Talinda, it's hard enough knowing that he's dating her but actually seeing them together? And *scoffs* you know Chaz he's all touchy lovey dovey and so damn sweet" I finished actually starting to cry hard.
As the tears slid down my face Rob took a few steps in front of me, grabbing a napkin on my desk to wipe my face clean.
"Hey hey hey now, it's gonna be ok Lee.
Yeah it's hard for you since you love Chester but I promise you this, what Talinda and him have isn't gonna be forever. He's going to see her for what she really is soon" he whispered now taking my hand and rubbing his thumb on my skin.
Sweet of him to say that but I know too well that Chester is in love with Talinda and he's gonna pop the question soon...
Even if he can't see how she's only dating him for the spotlight and physical pleasures.
*Sighs* "Yeah sure" I mumbled not looking into Rob's eyes.
He couldn't lie to me, I'm too good at seeing things that really are.

   Rob stood back up and was about to walk out of my room but something stopped him,
"Hey why don't you be my date tonight?" He asked looking back at me.
Ok what?
Wide eyed I turned to see him smiling a little.
Why did he just ask me that? Is it because of pity? Or because he wants me to be his date?
"What about Esther?" I asked softly (Esther being Rob's wife)
I saw him look off to the side while approaching me
"She's visiting her grandma right now in New York and well I kinda want you to go with me. Come on it'll be fun!" He spoke cheerfully trying to lift my spirits.
*Giggles* well I guess it could be fun,
Rob's a great guy to be around and we're honestly like brother and sister.
*Smiles* "Ok then, I guess I'll go with you" I replied sitting up straight
"Great, I'll meet you downstairs.
Take your time" he replied now closing the door behind me.

   When the door clicked I turned around to face my mirror and redo my make, still thinking about Chester dating Talinda.
The lead singer of Linkin Park is called Chester Bennington and to tell the truth I've been in love with him since 9th grade.
*Giggles a tad* I remember how we met too:
I was in school just walking down the hallway with my besties when suddenly we heard a HUGE explosion happen.
Moments later I saw everyone flee the chemistry room covered in this weird white goo!
The last one out though was a blond kid being dragged by his shirt by the chemistry teacher (heck let's be honest Mr. Jones was always a jerk even if accidents happened).
I was a little stunned by seeing him, you know how when you see someone and automatically you feel like you've met him (or her) before?
That's what I felt when I first saw Chaz, but it's funny I've never even seen this boy before but when I did see him it was like I had been complete after years of waiting.
I still feel like when I look at him but at the same time I feel an emptiness inside of me,
Perhaps it's because he's dating Talinda (acutally that's totally the reason why!).
*Sighs* I just wish Chester can see me as something more instead of a buddy.
But let's not drag this on any longer, we have things to attend to.
