Imagine 5: "Fighting for freedom"🐺

*Chester's POV*

I kept pacing back and forth in the dark woods along with my little sister Ash, waiting for Leah to come.
I was scared to death and my little sis noticed
"Chaz? *Stops my pacing by taking my hand* it's ok, it's gonna be ok" she whispered staring at me with those big blue eyes, god as much as I would love for that to be true it can't.

  The last few months have been a war between the Wolves and Vampires,
The alpha wolf declared it when a few vampires were caught trespassing into the wolves territory, but I guess you could predict the war,
Vampires and wolves have been at each other's throats since the beginning.

  Deep down I just wish it would end, why can't wolves and vampires get along? Why can't I be with Leah?
Yes I'm just gonna come out and say it, Leah is a wolf and I'm a vampire and it's scary cause if we're ever caught it wouldn't be good.

  Still pacing back and forth I suddenly heard some bushes crash, Ash quickly stood up and hid behind me till moments later I saw a black wolf run up to us and then turn into a beautiful woman dressed in wolf skins and her hair in braids.
"Lee *grabs her and hugs her tightly* are you ok?" I asked letting her go so that Ash could hug her.
Leah sighed in mid hug with Ash
"No, I'm not"
"Tell me what's wrong" I asked my hand on her shoulder, Leah sighed again as she slowly sank down and held herself tightly.
"I have to join the war" she whispered staring down at the black wet ground,
Ash gasped and my eyes went wide shocked and even more scared.
"No, you can't join that war Leah
That's a death sentence!" I argued, she just couldn't join that war, I've lost some many people I've cared about already and I'm not losing her!
She argued back
"I have to do this Chester! They are my people and I need to protect them!"
"But I love you! Don't you even care about us?!" I said back making her quietly gasp and look away from me.
Ash's eyes went wide.
She sighed a little as she started to play with her dirt stained fingers
"I love you to Chester and I do care about us but I care about my people as well... And it's my responsibility to protect them" she whispered looking up at the beautiful full moon that shined it's way through the black trees.
Ash scooted away so I could reach in to cup Leah's cheeks, I knew there was no way for me to protect her or keep her from fighting...
But all I want is for her to come back.
"Just please, please be careful" I whispered starting to cry a little. She kissed my cheek and hugged me tightly
"I promise" she whispered as one tear fell from her face.

*A week later*

I sighed staring at the white snowflakes that fell from the grey sky, Ash was sitting by the golden fire warming herself from the bitter cold that stung us.
I can't stop thinking about Leah, right now as I'm sitting her by the window she's out there fighting for freedom beside her kin.
*Sighs* I'm so scared for her, I can't even sleep at night knowing that I may never see her again...
Everyday I pray to the gods above that she makes it but I know Leah is a brave warrior,
She'll make it
I just know she will.

  I heard Ash stand up and walk to sit next to me,
"I miss her" she whispered her arms around me.
Since the war moved to where me and my family lived my parents sent me and my sister to the mountains to stay safe,
But everyday I've been this close to leaving and finding Leah.
*Takes Ash's hand* "I miss her too, every single day" I replied back thinking about Leah's gorgeous smile.

  But suddenly I got hit with something in my chest, like someone or something I love is in danger.
I stood up panicked and ran to the open window across the other room,
Ash felt it too.
"Chaz, you feel that?"
"Damn right I do"
"What do you think it is?" She asked extremely scared for she started tugging at her hair.
I grabbed my coat
"I don't know but whatever it is I'm not staying here!" I shouted running so I could turn into a bat.
In moments time I was a bat and I flew as fast as I could out of the window.

  I flew for what seemed like hours but finally I made it to where I sensed the danger.
Once I hit the ground I turned back into a human and ran through the snow trying to find what triggered me.
And I did,
But it was something that scared me.
I saw Leah, lying in the snow breathing heavily in and out as she bled from her chest.
"Leah!!" I ran as quick as I could, tripping over my own feet. I could see her very slightly move her head
"Chester" she whispered so quietly that it was impossible to hear.
When I was by her side I looked at her chest to see she was stabbed, her gorgeous hands stained red with the blood.
*Pushes her hair away from her eyes* "Lee, your gonna be ok I promise you" I said trying to think of a way to save her,
I put my hands under her and gently lifted her up, but I didn't make it far for I collapsed on my knees cause of the snow, she started to close her eyes
"Chaz..." She whispered, I knew she was drifting away.
"Leah? *Gently smacks her cheeks* Lee stay with me!" I said, but her eyes were still closed... It was only moments time before she would be gone,
I knew what I had to do to save her...
I gently lifted her hand up and sunk my teeth into her knuckles
(The only way to save her was to turn her into a vampire, yeah she's already so close to being dead but I have to try)

When I finished I waited,
Moments later she opened her eyes wide and alive.
I gasped extremely happy knowing she was ok
*Squeezes her*
"Ow! Chaz I'm still injured!" She said pushing me away.
"Oh! Oh I'm sorry I'm just so happy your ok!" I exclaimed trying to contain myself from throwing my arms around her, she sat up slowly as she clutched her stomach
"So, looks like I'm a half vampire now *touches her teeth* yep I got the fangs" she whispered still touching her teeth shocked.
I smiled a little and touched her leg
"I'm so happy your ok, I was so scared about losing you" I whispered now kissing her cheek.
She smiled a little as well as I helped her stand up on her two feet.
"I love you Lee"
"Love you too Chaz"
