"Wake up, dick head."
Robbie scowled at the normal routine of being woken up. It was an every day thing, being woken up by the other men who believed just could they had another pin they were so much better. "Back off, fuck face."
He never questioned his wordings as weird. He's been taught to live and talk like this for as long as he can remember, and no one around ever thinks it's weird. So he goes along with it.
The newly eighteen year old sludges himself out of bed. His whole life since six years old had been training for the beginning of a new life that came with this year. To learn how to fight like a killer and kill like one as well. He secretly hoped that he would never have to kill anyone, but if he told anyone the older guards would call him a pussy and he didn't want that. So, he just had to pray for the job that would be given to him. For now, though, he hardly did anything. It was like there was no reason for him to get up anymore.
"You hunt today." Said the man who woke him up. "You go out with Ric and Josh."
"Great." He hated hunting. And Ric. He supposed hunting animals in secluded animals, though, was better than people.
"Be happy that you don't have janitor's job, boy."
"Whatever."
They wouldn't put him on janitor's job. The leader of the guard was far too enhanced in his ability. Apparently, Johnson had "saved him" from Robbie's old life. The man didn't realize that he remembered what happened that day clearer then mostly possible. It's normal to remember such traumatic events, or so he's heard.
He figured if they all had forgotten about him, then fuck them anyway. It was better that Johnson found him. He would've been waiting in that library hide out forever if it wasn't for him.
Robbie quickly changed into his natural green torn up outfit, hating every second of it. He always thought he looked like a freaking tree, but he supposed it was better to bring home food for everyone. Everyone said you couldn't hunt in all black, which is what he usually wears.
After changing, he quickly takes a gun from the closet in the room. It would never not be weird to hold one.
"I'm here," Robbie says sarcastically, walking into the lobby where Ric and Josh were sitting and waiting.
"You're late." Ric scowled, standing angrily and being the first to walk outside. Josh didn't hate Robbie, but he didn't stay to converse either. He stood up calmly and was the next to go for outside. The eighteen year old boy jogged to catch up to them.
"Glad we're all friends here." He mumbles.
"I don't like you." Ric says simply, as if it wasn't already obvious.
"Could never see why."
"Oh, let's see..." Ric was the same age as himself, so he couldn't act superior. Especially when he wasn't anything close to Robbie. "Maybe because you're an arrogant, self-centered ass who will step on anyone to suck up to Johnson. You did it during training and you do it now."
"Ah, come on. Give me credit where it's due." He deserved no credit, and the man didn't give him any. He soon resumed. "Just gotta know you won't bloody shoot me instead of the nice old doe-eyed deer. Hey, buddy, remember the third week of training? I don't remember it all that well, but I think you cried, right? Because you couldn't handle it? The killing and the savagery?"
Ric stopped abruptly and got close to his nemesis' face. Robbie did not stop.
"Johnson broke you down even worse. Told you that you were a sissy and you would never amount to anything. And in that moment," He smirked. "He told you to be more like me."
Ric was enraged. He raised his hand to punch the idiotic boy with the British accent, but Josh held his hand back. "Stop it! Both of you. You both are acting immature and deer hate immaturity. I am not getting the wrath of Johnson cause the both of you wouldn't shut the hell up."
The man backed up, still hating the arrogant smirk that sat on Robbie's lips. He wanted to punch it off, he assumed.
"Right." Ric whispered, dusting himself off. He then turned and resumed his path, probably embarrassed he let the twit in his head. Robbie resumed walking behind the both of them.
"We're splitting up." Josh had decided. "It'll be the best way to get more ground, and the best way for you two idiots not to scare away anything with your fighting. We're both strong enough to manage on our own, right?"
"Maybe. As long as none of the dears give Ric a sad puppy dog face." He then imitated a pathetic, sad face. Ric did not let it get to him this time, and just quickly walked over to the left in a quick flurry. Once he was gone, Robbie looked over to Josh. "Some people, right?"
"You're being a dick, Rob. Stop it."
He didn't apologize.
"I will go right. Go straight and don't antagonize the hunting grounds, alright?"
"I'll try my best." Robbie's sarcastic tone was evident. "For you, my friend."
Josh rolled his eyes and went to the direction of the way he said he would.
Robbie pondered over fucking with Ric. But he knew, bringing the best meat home was the only way to really get into his head. So he laughed at his plans and went straight.
