If only...
Dan wakes up to a trail of kisses down his neck. It makes him smile, though he keeps his eyes shut. He slowly exhales, before rolling to his back from his side.
That's when he opens his eyes, revealing the best person in the world. The boy who makes all of his life worth it. The boy with the black hair that makes his bright blue eyes sparkle in the morning light.
"Ready for today?" this wonderful boy asks Dan, placing another kiss upon him, this time on his shoulder.
"Phil, I've been ready for today forever now."
"Good," Phil sighs against Dan's neck, making Dan shiver slightly.
Phil props himself up onto an elbow and stares at Dan, unable to keep his eyes off him. He rests his hand on Dan's head and plays with his hair. He's the only one who has the privilege to do so.
"I am ready, but I'd also like to just lie here with you forever," Dan continues.
"We'll have a lifetime, maybe even more, to do that," says Phil. "Trust me when I say, I'd like that too."
Dan turns his head and looks into Phil's bright eyes. He smiles and presses his lips to Phil's. Phil pulls back slightly and throws a leg over Dan, following with the rest of his body, this way he is straddling Dan.
He bends down and presses his lips back to Dan's, his hands running through his hair slowly. Dan moans at the feeling before sliding his tongue into Phil's mouth.
They are interrupted by a knock on the front door.
"That must be Chris and PJ," Phil whispers against Dan's lips.
Dan hums. "Too bad we can't finish this..."
More knocks follow after a minute or two of Dan and Phil not answering.
"Yeah, we're coming!" Dan calls. A bit quieter he says to Phil, "They can be so impatient."
Phil chuckles lightly while getting off of Dan. He checks his appearance in the square mirror positioned on the wall by the door. He fixes his hair and throws on a shirt before walking out to the front door of their flat.
Dan gets up shortly after, fixing his messed up hair too. He then goes into the living room to wait for the three.
When all four are gathered in the living room and sitting down, they discuss the plans.
"So Phil and I are going to mine while you two stay here?" PJ double checks.
"Yes," Dan replies.
"I can't believe this is really happening. Though, it took long enough," Chris comments.
Phil shoves Chris' shoulder. "Whatever; there was no need to rush anything."
"Phil, go shower and get ready so we can go. You don't want to be late do you?"
Phil rolls his eyes. "Fine, fine," he sighs getting up.
*
It feels like no time at all that Dan is greeting guests, all his friends and family, in the open outdoors where Dan and Phil are to be married within an hour.
Dan hasn't seen Phil since he and PJ left to go to PJ's, even though they are really only yards away from each other. Chris and PJ are making a point to keep them apart in Dan's opinion.
