Why I let you go

People like you only learn to love when they're alone.
I loved you,
but you where foolish.
If you can't even float
 don't keep kicking the guy keeping you above water.
Your heels left an imprint on my ribs
and now you're sinking.
Understand that I'm not letting you drown out of rage;
I just can't support your weight anymore.
I would bring you ashore
but people like you only learn to swim when you start to miss the taste of air.
