**CHAPTER 5**
*09/11/20*
It's 4:00 am. I'm ready to help with arranging the furniture for the marriage's reception. Even though I accepted the request blindly, di ko pwedeng sabihin. It's my only choice. I'll go with the flow of the events while I'm trying to think for my next course of action and make up my plan for the happenings sa paligid ko.
After that, I travelled to Osaka for the arrangements.
"Hey! Chrome-chan!" His voice called for me out loud in the big crowd.
"Oh, Akazuki! What's up!"
"Here. My family's business is going to be Murasaki Foundation's sister company. Hindi ba maganda yun?"
"Murasaki? Anong sinasabi mo?" I was puzzled by that.
"Oh, wala. By the way, if kakailanganin mo ako, I'll be around here again at about 9:00 am"
"Ah, sige."
I have once suspected that; that girl was hiding something from the public. Her presence alone makes her mysterious. Now, sigurado na ako that she's the owner of that letter. And even though malabo yung last letters. Naiintindihan ko yung nakasulat doon. And now I'm sure that Miisaki Murasame faked her name. Di ko alam kung bakit. But there must be some reason.
"Hey, kiddo! Yes, you! Ikaw!" may tumawag saakin.
"You're the boss' friend, right?"
"Yes, I am. Bakit po?
"Pwede mo bang i-organize yung boss' room for his arrival?"
"Okay, ako na po bahala."
I entered his room, cleaned his bed, and cleared his drawers. If nagtataka ka, this isn't my first time in his bedroom. I've been here not so long ago. And for the same reason because of his room's dirtiness. It's a big room. May bed, a table, two drawers for documents and stuff. I checked each of his drawers and tinanggal ko lahat ng unnecessary stuff. There are some ancient documents about his childhood's documentation. I'm kind of curious about his childhood. I think that being as rich as he might give me more memories as a child. But I don't know what's in the past. Di ko maalala.
As I dug into his stuff, nakahanap ako ng old picture ng isang familiar little girl. My mind suddenly went out. My body gave up and lost its support; my body felt like air. I fell on my head, yet I felt nothing. Nahilo ako. It felt like someone's talking in my mind. It felt like learning history, my memories of the past. It filled me with nostalgia.
The feeling of the hospital's bed. The sound of the cranking machines, the complicated talk of the doctors. Narinig ko lahat. But despite all of that. Only some of the chatter became clear to me. Only a bit of it made sense for my mission in finding my past's mysteries.
"Ku-chan? Ku-chan what happened to you? Ku-chan? Naririnig mo ba ako?"
"Dad, what happened to him?"
"I thought we're friends. Why does he act like he di niya ako kilala. Is this a new role playing game?"
"I thought you 'will' show us mind-reading magic?"
"Dad! Dad! Answer me!"
"Where's my friend Ku-chan?!"
"Forget about it. Miisaki."
"He's not your friend anymore."
"Di ka na niya naaalala."
"No. You're lying. Ku-chan remembers everything, how we used to play in the grass fields, where we hid every time we're not the 'it' in hide-and-seek, how we draw pictures. And the way he helped me in writing our business' advertising logo. You even said that he was a product of your therapies to improve imaginations. He's not; he had always been like that. He has an intelligent mind. Kaya alam ko, he'll devise a way to remember me. He never gives up. I'm sure one day magkikita muli kami."
"No Miisaki, he's done. You are the next head of the Miisaki Foundation. We need him to forget who you are. I don't want to crush his heart by telling him that you have a betrothed one. You'll need to marry the son of the Top Technology Foundation. You will need to marry Akasaka or else, their support for the Murasaki Foundation's survival will be gone, forever. I'm sorry, my daughter. I want to keep the last thing your mother has passed to us; her business company. Please, sana unawain mo."
"But Dad, he's bad. He's out of his mind. He even killed my kitten. Aren't you afraid of what will happen to me once I marry him?"
"Iyon din ang kinatatakutan ko. But this is the truth in this cruel world. Those who stand at the top are the ones in control. We are their servants, no more, no less; they're the ones who made our family's business possible; we can't defy them. But I know, one day. Someone who finally understands the cruel truth of this world can save you. I love you, my daughter."
"And Chrome-kun. If you might be that one person who can save my daughter. Please, look after her. Alam ko na kaya mo. I know you won't betray Miisaki's trust. So, please."
Alam ko, dad. But I'm fading; I'm getting reduced to nothing; I can't regain my consciousness. I can't control my thoughts. I'm here alone, swimming in the depths of my memories. The light won't just shine through these shallow waters, and my body's too tired to ascend. I know dad, and I'm trying. So, please, bigyan niyo po ako ng panahon, Dad. I assure you, I'll come back someday.
