**CHAPTER 8**
Time: 12:00 am
Location: Hotel Hanju International
The trumpets are blowing loud; the environment was cheerful; the people didn't know what'll hit them. I feel bad for the innocent crowds enjoying the calm before the storm.
Being the squad's decoy wasn't an easy experience for me. I felt bad for every smile I see. No one was acting suspicious but the security was tight. Eight people were guarding the entrance; eight in the inner fields; and eight on stage. We would have a hard time if we didn't plan for this. The silent hums of the orchestral singers; the elegant dances the people do; this night could've been a beautiful one if nothing goes wrong.
I walked on the corridors trying to report every single change in the landscape of that gigantic hotel, and told them to tweak the plans; I'm the best in reporting so, I think nothing's wrong with my reports.
One of the guards suddenly noticed me and reported to someone with his phone.; I panicked, it was a bad move. But I couldn't help it. I ran at full speed; the alarms went off; the whole venue was in distress; the guards were chasing me; I ran off and went through the front exit.
Shots were fired; and I was hit, at my left leg. I didn't feel the pain; it happened way too fast for me to react. The forces at the front stormed the venue through the front door. Loud gunshots can be heard from there to a half kilometre radius. I was scared, I don't know what to do. I made a major mistake that might lead us to defeat. The captain patted me on the head and said:
"Don't worry son. This is how the battlefield works. Before I go, I have something I wanted to give you."
He gave me an envelope. In it was the picture of Miisaki.
"Why would you give me this?"
"Look at the backside, boy."
I looked at it and found letters written there.
"Here's my future wife and her dead cat. Toying with her is fun. I hope my sister could have fun with her too. She's beautiful, like my sister. My sister should be glad to have a new friend that as beautiful as her. I'll make my sister's dreams come true. On the night of our wedding. I'll use the sharper version of the same knife I used on her kitten. Then, my sister in heaven must become happy to see a new friend. Of course, I would let my wife suffer first; so she wouldn't defy my sister's orders in heaven. I'll teach her who's the one worthy of ruling one of the country's biggest company. I'll keep track of her life and disappear from her sight for a long time. Things will go according to my plan. I am the one; who stands at the top. My rules are absolute."
-Akasaka Akazuki
"What is this?"
"Didn't you wonder how I got the warrant?"
"I did, and I thought it was about the animal protection law."
"No, that alone can't be enough to get a whole police squadron this big."
"Then what?"
"This was a retrieval of a patient with problems in thinking covered as a raid."
"So, are you telling me that you had this planned all along?"
"Yes, kid. That's one thing you should learn in this operation. Life can be unpredictable sometimes; all you can do is become prepared for everything fate throws at you. This is the only way to overcome the cruel truth of the world."
"Yudai-captain..."
"I must go now. My comrades are waiting for my arrival. This won't be the last time we'll meet, kiddo. See you next time!"
As he bid farewell, he told me the plan for securing Miisaki and the people.
The people were baffled. I ran inside and used the pistol the captain gave me, to open locked rooms. I helped everyone escape, yet, I didn't find Akazuki and Miisaki there.
I searched everywhere until I saw them at the rooftop.
"Oh, Chrome-chan. By any chance? Perhaps, you came here to watch?"
