**CHAPTER 7**
*11:30 am*
"Headcount! 1, 2, 3,..., 40. We have enough men to raid the wedding vicinity."
Then, they've proceeded to plan.
"This is "plan A". 8 officers at "point A"; 8 officers at point B; 2 officers for the ram; 10 officers for emergency backup; 3 officers for our medics; 9 for the interior fields. We have a map here provided by the higher-ups---"
And thus, the conversation continued. As planned, we're setting up our forces at dawn, revise the plans if needed and ready for gunshots. I don't care anymore if I'd die or not. What matters here is Miisaki's life. I don't want her life to end first then mine. I haven't told her yet my true feelings at the day we were separated. I won't ever break her father's trust. I know it, her Dad is watching from the skies above. I know he trusts me. So, I must do my best in the execution of this raid. I won't break any promises again.
Time passed quickly, as we discussed our courses of action in taking Akazuki into custody. We used our time to the fullest to improvise our plans. Even though it's not yet sure, we need to execute the raid early and quickly. We can't afford to lose any lives or properties here. Yudai Itsuki seems like he's used to these types of operations.
"And that concludes our meeting. We'll meet here at 4:00 pm precisely. We'll need to put into account the lives of the people there so; we need to choose our equipment carefully. I'll also acquire advice from the experts."
"Good work, mister Itsuki."
"Call me Yudai. We're teammates in the same squad now right?"
"Ok Captain Yudai!"
"Stop that."
"Roger!"
"I told you to stop that. Or else you'll look like a fool."
"But I am a fool."
"That might have been true. See you later, kid."
He went off to the police station's weaponry room. My heart beats fast as I think of the possible outcomes. I don't know why it led to this. I can't turn back anymore. This path is the only way where I can expect good things to happen in the end. I need to make up my mind and focus on what's ahead of me.
I waited for 8 hours in the car while eating three baked potatoes.
"Hey kid, you might need this later."
He passed me a Kel-Tec P 32 pistol in a gun case.
"Remember, your weapon can't betray you. That's the only thing you can trust when things go worse."
"Noted, sir."
"Good, I think you're ready for the most major event in your life, aren't ya? Son of the former lieutenant."
I didn't hear what he said in the last parts of that sentence. But, I still managed to respond.
"Raid Squad's Special Guest Kuromu Kurokami is now ready for battle!"
"Great, we're setting off."
We went on full speed in an armoured van. We wore bulletproof vests accustomed for quick gunfights with light and durable titanium interior and stretchable joints for sharp movements. It was honestly a tense situation for me, a high school student who's just regained his memories of the past.
"My fellow teammates, get ready and wait in your stations. Don't show any suspicious movements until I tell you to."
"Yes, sir!" We exclaimed in unison.
The sun was low. The winds are strong and cold; it was a perfect day for war. Or so I've thought. But the outcome of this event might be worse than I've anticipated. I need to prepare myself emotionally; mentally for all the possible events that are possible to occur today.
We went to our assigned locations, getting ready for the storm. I hope this raid goes as planned.
