EMMAS POV:
"Stop!" I yelled tears streaming down my face. "I'm done with your shit!" I said pulling myself out of his grip. "You took everything from me and I'm done with letting you do it! I'm standing up for myself for once! And I should of done it years ago!" I said before pushing my deadbeat, alcoholic father who was trying to beat me yet again. I then before I knew it was on the ground holding my stinging cheek.

"You piece of shit! You are nothing! You act like you mean something to somebody and YOU don't. The sooner you realize that the better." He spat at me. The same words that I have been told time after time. He was wrong about one thing in his statement. I know I don't mean anything to someone. I'm nothing. I know it. He then picked me up and threw me down the stairs. And then the door was kicked open.

"Put your hands up!" A man with a bulletproof vest on that read 'FBI' on it yelled at my dad. While a women rushed over to me. She wrapped my arm around her shoulder and helped me stand up.

"It's okay," she whispered in my ears. "He can't hurt you anymore," she said. But she was wrong. He can hurt me again. He will always haunt me. He will always be in the back of my mind telling me how I will never amount to anything....

I was sitting in the back of the ambulance outside my house. They were checking out my bruises. They looked worried, but I'm not I had much worse before.

"Don't worry I had worse before," giving the man a small smile. He looked at me sympathetically. They insisted on taking me to the hospital. I argued but they just wanted to make sure I was okay. I had a pounding headache and I didn't want to fight anymore so I just agreed. They took so many X-rays I thought I was going to have to be there all day. Now I'm sitting in this conference room in the police station waiting for someone to come in and take me out of my misery.

"Ms. Irwin," I jumped slightly as I heard my name being called. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you," he said with a apologetic look on his face.

"Don't worry about it , and please call me Emma,"I said trying to sound older than I actually was. It obviously didn't work because I am a seventeen year old with a baby face.

"Well, Emma" he said chucking lightly. "We called you're family members and-" he said before I cut him off.

"Great when do I go to my aunts," I said smiling. I missed her and I couldn't wait to see her.

"About that," he said snapping me out of my thoughts. "You aren't going to live with your aunt," he said laughing nervously. "You are staying with your brother," he said smiling. My smile instantly disappeared.

"What?! My brother?! I haven't talked to him in TWO YEARS and now I'm living with him?!" I yelled. He winced, shocked by my outburst.

"I'm sorry Emma but your aunt couldn't take care of you and your brother was the only person we could call." He said. I groaned. L

"Okay fine. When do I have to leave?" I said rubbing my temples.

"Now. We packed all your clothes and we have to leave now if you want to make you're flight," he said while looking at the clock behind me. I sighed and stood up walking out to the car with the man leading me. He opened the door of the car for me and shut it after I stepped in.

"Wait I didn't get your name!" I said calling out to him as he was walking away.

"Troye," he yelled back smirking at me as the car started to move and drive away. I rolled up my window and sat back in the car seat sighing. Wondering how much these couple of months are going to suck.

I groaned as I heard the stewardess' voice come on the intercom saying that we landed in London. Yay! I'm obviously joking. I don't want to be here right now. At all. But I am so I have to act like I am excited to see Ashton and the other guys. Well I'm excited to see the other guys, not Ashton. The guys actually called and texted me. While Ashton and I haven't talked in two years. I walked off of the plane with my carry on bag, and made my way to to baggage claim. I put my sunglasses on my face to cover my black eye and the bags under my eyes. I got off the escalator and looked for my bags.

"Em!" I looked in the direction where I heard my name so fast that I'm surprised I didn't get whiplash. Who called my name? The one and only.... Luke Hemmings. I smiled as he ran up and engulfed me in a bone crushing hug.

"Lukey I missed you!" I said laughing at how he still remembered our nicknames for each other.

"Luke don't hog her we all want hugs," Michael said jokingly. Luke released me from the bone crushing hug and I saw that boy that dyes his hair like everyday. He gave me a big hug too.

"Michael Clifford" I said as we released from our hug. "Your hairs gonna fall out!" I said while chuckling

"Haha so funny, I've never heard that one before," he said while rolling his eyes we all laughed at Michaels reaction. While I moved on to the next boy. I saw that brown eyed boy who drove me crazy. He picked me up and spun me around until I was dizzy. He put me down and I legit almost fell over. They just started to laugh at me.

"You do that every single time you see me and you guys still think it's funny." I said while shaking my head. "But I missed you cal," he smiled.

"I missed you too girl!" he said in his best girl voice, it was terrible but I just laughed. I looked behind him and saw my older brother who I haven't seen in so long looking at me with his dorky smile.

"I missed you so much!" I said trying to keep tears from streaming down my face. He opened his arms up signaling for me to give me a hug. I gave him the best hug I could.

"I missed you too!" he whispered. "I'm so sorry," he whispered his voice cracking. I knew exactly what he meant.

"It's not your fault. None of this is. Dad was a alcoholic and he took his anger out on me." I whispered trying to cheer him up. I knew the one thing that was going to make him feel fine but it was a lie. I hated lying but I knew this is the only way he wouldn't beat himself up about it, so I had to say it."I'm fine. I'm okay, so don't beat yourself up about it especially when it's not your fault." I said as we pulled away from the hug.

"There's my little fighter," he said while smiling .

"Really Em?" Michael said from behind me. I turned around and saw him holding up my suitcase, which had zebra stripes on it. "Zebra stripes?" He said while smirking.

"Hey stop hating on my zebra stripes!" I said pouting grabbing my suitcase and walking towards the exit. "You coming?" I said turning around and looking at the boys who were smirking at me.

"You heard the lady, leggo!" said Calum running up and taking suitcase from me.

"Calum!" I groaned. "You know I hate when you do stuff for me! I can do it myself!" I said reaching for my suitcase. But he pulled it away from me, standing his ground. In no time we reached the car and I sat down and looked out the window thinking "this might not be that bad".
