Waking up and going to bed is the easiest part of the day, I'm on nighttime meds from 10pm-7am. They're supposed to be strong so I can sleep and get my rest. It makes it really easy to feel good though when you can feel much pain.

Today is no exception, I wake up feeling fine- which is great- but by the time seven o'clock comes I'm already feeling the way I always do. Exhausted, in pain and of course: bored. I decide text you knowing you'll be awake by now, you answer after the second ring. Record time.

Hi luvs! Slight pause, just wanted to mention this: I'm new to Wattpad as the old platform I used to use no longer works. Im starting fresh so thanks for all your support:)

The first thing you say is something that surprises me. You speak in that silly voice and I can tell you're up to something. I see your goofy lop-sided grin from behind the screen.

"Get ready, I have a date for you" you say

"Okay! What time?" I ask

"Umm- dinner time. Six o'clock?" you ask

"That works! Talk later then" I reply

I smile into the phone. You always did these kinds of things for me when I was feeling down. I didn't know how you always convinced the nurses to let me go for a few hours, it was probably just your luck. I sighed and pulled myself out of my thoughts. The clock was nearing eight o'clock- AM of course- and I had to order breakfast before it was too late.

I truly wasn't hungry but I really didn't want to hear it from Dr. Waters again-long story you don't need to hear- or from the nurses station. I ordered over the phone half-heartedly not really caring to fuss over what I was going to eat. I knew ordering was for my own good. It still maddened me that I had to worry if I was going to annoy other people i wasn't eating.

After a half-hour had passed there was the usual knock from the cafeteria workers. On floor thirteen most patients were too sick to grab it themselves and there were no visitors to grab it for them. Normally all you had to do after the knock was go to the door and grab the tray they left on the table by your door, because of contamination they couldn't come in. Today was no different from the usual. I grabbed my meal and by the time I came back, my phone was ringing. Zach was on the caller ID.

I picked it up and smiled. I wasn't wondering why you called after all, because you called me at breakfast so we could eat together almost every morning.

"Hey, how're you feeling?" you ask

"The usual, and you?" I replied

"Same same" you say

"Yeah, are you going to tell me where our date is?!" I ask

"No! How could I? It's a surprise!" you exclaim

"Mhm... okay then" I say

Then we burst out laughing. Eventually we hang up to get ready and by then it's around 9:45. We had an eventful morning and soon an eventful night. I sigh and go to my closet; looking for something nice.
