Quea and Tike walked close behind us, while the mother and father covered us in the front.
"Quea, take Ms. Sanders to the bathroom and get her cleaned up, Tike will go with Mr. Keylz.
How'd she know our last names? I looked at Quency, who just shrugged and kept walking.
I raised my eyebrow, yeah right....like you don't know.
He didn't reply. We made our way to the bathrooms, eventhough we looked suspicious, I was thankful for what they did.
The parents left to buy us some clothes, while Quea and Tike took care of us and kicked everyone out the bathroom.
They pretended that they were the 'janitors kids', by saying it was bring-your-kids-to-work-day. They said if another person flushes, there would be a flood from here to the boys bathroom and that it would cause too much pressure on the pipes, even the ones connected to it would spontaneously combust, so it was wise to go to another bathroom area in the mall.
It was a very convencing story(well they made it convencing, their acting was quite sincere and believable, eventhough there was a lot of loop holes to it).
After that, I went into the bathroom, while Quea kept watch and pushed away people who had to go, I felt bad for them, but they'll live.
....
When I saw the sink, I rushed to it and drank gulps of water. I felt good and rejuvenating. I popped up quickly to breath, then drank some more. After feeling satisfied, I looked up and into the mirror. I jumped back, I looked like a horror movie threw up on me. My dress was ripped and muddy, my face had black smudges streaming down my cheeks, with some of it on my lips and chin. The eye shadow that I used was gone and my face looked as if it dropped a few pounds. My hair was a big puffy afro, with a bit of dirt caked into it. I sighed, the mud is going to be a hassel to get out.
I shook my head, No wonder why Quea and her family stared, I would have, matter-of-fact, I would have problably laughed.
I looked back and saw that my neck still held the necklace. I must tell Quency.
without wasting more time, I grabbed some paper towels and cleaned my face, next, I washed my hair(which took 15 minutes, due to the mud) and dried it with the hand drier on the wall. After that, I hopped up on the counter and cleaned my dirty bare feet in the sink. Mann does this feel better, now I just need a bath or a shower.
Twenty minutes later and after drying myself, I waited on the counter. "Hey!.... I'm done, is your mom almost here yet?" I shouted to Quea. I was happy my speech was back.
"Yeah..." Quea replied. "I just text her, she's on her way."
Moments later, Quea's mom was in the bathroom with clothes and shoes.
"I bought you a sun dress, I thought you might want to slip into something quick and comfortable." She said as she held it up for me "I hope this is okay, unless you wanted something else..."
"No, no it's okay...and thank you." I looked at the dress, it was stretchy at the breast area and flared down. It was black, but it had golden dots on the scrunchy part of the dress(were the breast goes) and under that was a big golden flower design, that went from the corner of the dress and out onto the stomach. The first flower was under the Brest part and the second was on the stomach area. It was gorgeous.
"Wow! It's beautiful.....but how much did this cost?"
"Don't worry about that and put this on" she threw me the dress "oh! and these shoes." She threw beautiful golden gladiator shoes at me and walked out. "Call me when your done!"
I shook my head. I owe them big time.
After I put on the outfit and shoes, I called her in. She had a big black baggy in her hand. "Put your other dress in this, the guys are already done and went to go and eat, along with Quea."
"Oh okay, so what about the door?"
"I locked it...so we have about 5 minutes before someone comes." She smiled "there were complants about the pipes, toilets, someone kicking people out, and something about kids" she laughed "they must have came up with a wild story..." she laughed again.
I smiled and took the bag from her to put the dress in. She held my shoulders and turned me around, then pointed at the mirror "I'll fix your hair and then we can go and eat."
I nodded as She gently grabbed my hair and pushed all of it to the left. She put a ponytail holder in it and let my hair puff out and over my shoulder.
"You have long, thick pretty hair. Your mom took great care of it."
"Thanks...yours and your daughters is pretty and curly as well" I wasn't lying, their hair was shiny black and curly. Their hair was thick and shoulder length. The daughter's hair was in a curly ponytail and braided in the front as a bang on the left side, with beads on them. The mom's hair was just out and down.
"Thank you" she put a golden butterfly clip with black diamond's in my hair and patted my shoulder. "You look beautiful....now lets go."
She took the bag and dumped it in a large gray trash Ben, by the bathroom door.We left the area and headed towards the food court. We walked over to a table in the center and sat down. Alot of attention was on me and I was soo uncomfortable.
Quency and Tike just stared as I sat down at the table, in-between the mother and daughter. The mother cleared her throat, which made them snap out of it.
"Wow! She really is..." Quea begain, but her brother cleared his throat and shook his head no.
"So...what would you like to eat, you could have Chinese, we bought extra for you, or you could have pizza, or...." the mother begain.
"Nahh...." I said stopping her "...it's okay, but thanks...I owe you enough already." I turned and opened the foam container and ate the Chinese food hungrily.
.............
We all talked and chatted about anything that popped into our minds. I asked the mother and father about their last name and first(so I could repay them). The mother's name was Misty Dreyvus and the father is Dean Dreyvus.
I laughed at a joke that Tike had said and looked up. Three familiar people stopped by the far end of the cafe. My smile quickly faded. I slowly yet discreetly turned and saw three more behind me near the exit.
We're trapped.....I looked at Quency, who looked behind me. He nodded to me and looked at the father. Right then, it sounded as if a gunshot went off and everyone started screaming and running in panic.
We took the opportunity and left, but not before we thanked them. That's weird..... they seemed a little too calm.
But before I could contemplate on it more, Quency grabbed my wrist and ran towards the three men, who were by the ending part of the cafe and near a different part of the mall.
