Chapter # 40

It was like his whole world crash landed on him in that moment. Like his existence became meaningless. It was like he lost his purpose of his existence. He dropped on his knees, one after another sob noise came from his mouth. But before he could bawl his eyes out, Mr Jeon said,

"You got your masters degree from South Korea's number 1 university and yet you believe that a guy who got shot near his heart, lost his memory. What on earth happened to your brain?", He sighed.

"50 dollars mate", Mr Kim smirked again, extending his hand.

"You both are so idiot and you Taehyung", Mrs Kim pointed at Taehyung, "Shame on you for pranking my baby and making him cry".

"Nobody is going to give or take that 50 dollars or else, we both will empty your bank balance", Mrs Jeon announced. Mr Kim and Mr Jeon face turned pale as they gulped loudly.

Jungkook was yet again dumbfounded. "W-wait I don't get it. What is.... What is going on?", He asked confused.

"Your fiance wanted to prank you. So your father in-law bet about your reaction and your father said that he will immediately understand that it's a prank but you fell for it. So it's a win for Dojin", Mrs Jeon sighed.

Tears were still shining on his doe eyes and when he looked at his fiance again, he showed him his mischievous boxy smile. He wiped his eyes and stood up rolling his sleeves, making older gulped.

"Aa.. I think we should leave them", Mr Kim pressed.

"Yeah you are right", all three nodded.

"No no.. waee waee... Stay here Mom Dad. Uncle Aunt... Don't leave me with him alone. I don't want my bones to be broken", he pleaded.

"We should inform them about a fracture", Mr Kim discussed with Mr Jeon as they all left the room.

"What fracture? No please stop", Taehyung begged but it was already too late as their parents left the room, locking it in process. Jungkook move forward and Taehyung started slipping under the sheets. Before he could completely hide himself, Jungkook removed the sheet.

"Surprise. Ahaha", Taehyung fake laugh, gulping again seeing younger's poker face.

He raised his hand and Taehyung immediately closed his eyes like a scared puppy. In the next moment, he felt two arms wrapping around him securely and soft sniffling sound ringing near his ear. Taehyung smiled lightly and hugged him back, patting his head slowly.

"I-i thought I lost you. I t-thought that I would never see you again", Jungkook said in-between hiccups.

"Shhuussshhh Babe. I'm not going anywhere and I will never leave you no matter what. Sorry for scaring you earlier love. I didn't mean to make you cry", Taehyung whispered softly, kissing on his hair softly.

"You are so mean", Jungkook cried, clutching his shirt from either side as he bawled his eyes out.

Taehyung laughed lightly but immediately groaned when he felt pain on his chest. Jungkook immediately moved away to look at older who was trying his best to hide the pain from him.

"You're my life, my soul. And without a soul, a body can't survive. So don't you dare take these words out of your mouth", Taehyung cut him, putting his finger on his lips. Jungkook sniffled.
