|Elizabeth POV|

The gate opened and Meliodas came out and stood there, face fully emotionless again. The guard put his restraints on and was about to take him. "Its okay you don't have to." The guard just nodded.

When I looked to Meliodas, shock filled his face. I just smiled and waved my hand for him to follow. "So, Meliodas how do you feel about the war?" Diane asked. Trying to have a conversation with him. Diane, you're truly the bestest friend I could ask for.

"I don't really care either way..." Diane nodded, it looked like she was going to ask a question, "Why are you helping the Goddesses, you're suppose to be the future Giant Queen." Meliodas asked.

Both me and Diane's eyes widened. He's  been locked away for 4 years and he knows? "Y-Yes I am, but I left the clan a while ago.." Diane answered.

Meliodas hummed and nodded. "Meliodas, I have a question." He looked at me. "Why do you kill?" He started quietly laughing.

"I was made into a weapon, why else do you think. Is it because Im a demon so we're meant to be heartless and kill for no reason." Meliodas asked, smiling but it was more of a sad smile.

"N-No me and Diane both believe demons are living beings." I said. He looked back up at me and smiled, I smiled back but as soon as he realized he smiled his face went back to being emotionless.

A weapon... now I feel bad for trying to turn him into a toy. I was against at the beginning but, I think he's just misunderstood like all other demons. "I didn't think you'd actually go along with her plan, Diane." I turned to the right to see King. "And why isn't Meliodas being held." He said his name in disgust.

I was about to say something, "Well you know what King, you're being a absolute ass! Meliodas is a living being capable of emotions too! For you to judge him is absolutely wrong." Diane yelled.

King seemed taken back by her words but kept his ground. "He's a demon Diane, we can't trust him! I can't believe you're talking to him too!" King said.

Silence filled the room as Diane walked up to King tears spilling down her cheeks,

and slapped him.

My hands came up to my mouth as she did that. I didn't think she'd slap him. "Im not talking to you until you figure out, Demons aren't all bad." Diane said, turning around grabbing my wrists and Meliodas restraints dragging us.

As soon as we were out of King range she let go, tears still coming down her cheeks as as he slouched on the wall. I looked to Meliodas and saw not a emotionless face but a face that felt bad. Before I could do anything Meliodas walked up to her.

"Diane, you didn't have to do that.. Im used to hearing those words." Meliodas said. I knew he could express emotions. "I-Its okay Meliodas, King needs to learn to stop being a asshat. I trust you." Diane said, still sobbing. Her arms were wrapped around her knees.

"Whats wrong with Diane?" I looked back to see Ban. He looked at Diane and then to Meliodas and started walking towards us. "Why exactly is Meliodas not being held, did he have somethin-" Ban was interrupted by Meliodas turning around. Meliodas had a frown on his face.

That made Ban stop everything he was doing. "King happened. Meliodas was trying to cheer her up" I said, going to sit down and hug Diane.

"What'd King do" Ban asked, standing next to Meliodas. "King being a total asshole to Meliodas. Ban are you with us in trusting Meliodas?" Diane asked, looking up at Ban with tear-filled eyes.

Ban seemed hesitant to answer, looking at Diane's face and to Meliodas' sad expression. He sighed and nodded. Diane then had a bright smile on her face and jumped up to hug Ban.

"I-Im not talking to King until he can stop being an asshole." Diane muttered. Ban nodded hugging Diane back. I got up as Diane took a deep breath and wiped her tears and turned to Meliodas with a bright smile.

"Lets go show you your room now!"

Peace out,

-Mary
