It was a normal day at San Francisco High. The backbenchers had dozed off and I had to admit, the lesson I was teaching today was boring. The only person who was interested was my favourite student, Annabeth Chase.
Now, if any teacher tells you that they have no favourites then they are lying or the students are equally bad.
So today in the middle of class I hear a phone ringing. I turn around to face the class and see Annabeth retrieving her phone from her school bag. San Francisco High has a rule that if your phone rings in class, the person has to put the phone on speaker and not tell the other person that the whole class can hear them.
The last person I expected receiving a call would be Annabeth. She already knew the rules and answered the call on speaker.
"Hey seaweed brain what happened?" She asked to the person she was talking to.
"Nothing wise girl, I was just bored" the voice replied.
"So......what do you need me for?"
"I just missed you that's all. Ooh I also wanted to say that Travis finally asked Katie out on a date"
"Well we can't say anything, we took 4 years to figure out that we liked each other"
"Uh by the way do you want to go to Montauk with me and my parents?"
"I'd love to. Besides we are getting a week free for spring break"she said.
"Bye wise girl I gotta go. Love you"
"Love you too Percy "she replied and turned off her phone
The whole class stared at her.
"What I can't say love you to my boyfriend?" She asked. Annoyed.
Then the bell rang.
