THE CONFESSION

"Absolutely true," Matthew said. "I remember that scene."

"On that day..."

"Let me narrate now, my bro. It's my turn," Ryan interrupted.

"Hmm... sure. I apologize," Matthew said and both passed a pleasant smile to each other.

"See, whosoever wants to narrate, do the same but please don't spoil time," Radhana kidded.

I glared at her and whispered," Please shut up. I know what you meant but you should explicate it like that,"

"Ok. I mean that please decide fast who has to narrate, nothing else," she said loudly giving a Botox smile.

"Ya, sure," Ryan said.

(Flashback)

While we both were talking, I heard the sound of footsteps. I thought it was Matthew's mother but unluckily, it was Matthew's father.

I could not understand as Matthew's father had left for Pune the following day.

I and Matthew stared at each other.

"Da..da..daddy, you left for P..pu..pune. How come here??," Matthew asked, in a stammering voice.

The only question coming to our mind was that has he heard everything but we cannot ask to him also.

I crossed my fingers.

"Beta, actually my work was over so I departed early,"Mangesh said keeping his one hand on his shoulder," Who is this??"

"Heeeee.... he is m-my friend. He is my friend, yes, friend," Matthew said. ( his fear was understood from his broken voice)

"Ok, he is your friend," Mangesh smiled and came towards me." Hmm.. but what was the reason to meet at night,"

"Actu- actually," Matthew began answering.

Mangesh showed his hand making a gesture to halt and then said:-

"You answer," he said to me.

"Uncle... I mean sir. It was an important work. My mother was ill and few hours back, I borrowed the medicine as it was not available in any of the shops. So, now he wanted the medicine again so I came to return it to him and thank him," I said confidently, so as to make him believe about it.

"Did the same happen??" He questioned to Matthew.

"Yes, daddy. You go and rest till then he will also leave as it already night.." Matthew said.

" Hmm," Mangesh mumbled.

We began to think that he hasn't heard anything.

I was leaving but uncle stopped me.

Then, he approached Matthew (who was smiling at him), and slapped him tightly.

First of all, he gave him 5-6 tied slaps and then shouted:-

"Do you both think that I am a fool. Fooling me. Came here for medicine!! Ryan or Manith's son what should I call you,"

I was stunned and saw Matthew who was exhausted after bearing his oppression, fell on the ground.

He came towards me and raised his hand and I closed my eyes.

"Leave it. I don't want to dirty my hand by slapping you. How dare you allure my son??
Because of you I lost my wrath and then slapped him so tightly. Nlw, do you need an invitation to leave.
Leave!!! I said, leave!! Deaf!!! Get out of my sight in the next 10 seconds," Mangesh groaned.

"Isn't it the truth," he again asked, before I could leave.

"Yes, sir... uncle. But, at least give some respect to him," I said, heartbroken.

I didn't have any other choice.

I left by passing a pitiful look at Matthew.

(Present time)

"How can a person be so brutal?? Does he do this now, also," I questioned.

Ryan and Matthew stared at each other but none of them answered.

"Here what I am telling first. You will get answer to all your questions," Ryan said.

"Ya, sure," I said.
