I got a very horrifying news.
John, who was very much loved by Matthew was sold.
No one else other than Mangesh sold him.
I was thinking what will happen to Matthew when he will get to know about it.
The thought only terrified me.
I went to Matthew's room the next day.
He was not there.
I tried to call him but it was next to me lying on the bed.
I slightly opened his room's door and saw that he was roaming all around searching for John.
My uneasiness grew.
Suddenly, his eyes fell on me and he came inside the room.
"What are you doing, here??"
"Actually, you have lost your best friend today,"
"How can I lose you, Ryan??"
"I am not talking about me, but..."
"But, what Ryan?? Tell."
"J...John,"
"What?? Is he no more. How is it possible??"
"No, he is alive,"
He heaved a sigh of relief wiping his tears.
"Then what," he asked by shaking my shoulders.
"Yo...your father sold him,"
He removed his hands from my shoulders and went back murmurimg:-
"Impossible!! He can't do this. You might have misunderstood something. I know he is a bit harsh but he cannot do this,"
"I know it is too difficult for you to accept it but the truth will not be changed,"
"How do you know?? Who told you all this rubbish??" He said a bit loudly.
"Shhh!!! Everyone will come to know that I am here,"
"Sorry!! But answer to my question,"
"Actually, I was going down the street and I saw your father sitting on a bench.
He was talking to someone on phone and I heard:-
"No, the deal is cancelled. I have sold it to someone else. Now, I can do nothing.
I could not afford to keep that dog in my house for so long,"
These are the exact words which I heard.
Now, what will you say!!"
"Are you serious?? How can he do this?? It is enough, now," Matthew said
"Now, I will not live here. He is crossing his limits," he added.
"Are you sure??"
"Do you have any doubt??"
"No, I was just confirming,"
"Yes. I have a reason for that,"
"May I not that,"
"Not required right now,"
"Ok, keep it aside. But where will we go?? I don't think so we should go my home,"
"Absolutely correct. Wait,"
He took out his phone and showed me a picture and said:
"Here is the place we can stay. It owes to me; earned from my struggle,"
"But, other arrangements,"
"It will not be difficult. We don't have to stay there for more than 2 days,"
"I am not understanding anything. Please tell me clearly. I am feeling that I am sitting in a Mathematics class,"
"Hmm.. First, let us leave, then I am telling,"
"Ok," I said as I didn't have any other option.
We both left that place.
"Will you make me aware about your so called plan," I taunted him.
He loured at me.
"See, actually I want to tell you the truth," he gave a curious look.
"What??"
"Actually I didn't have any plan. I ran away from my home for John,"
"Oh god!! Have had you told me before, I never let you do this,"
"That's why I didn't tell you,"
"Hmm... Very funny,"
"Ok. What to do next,"
"Search John,"
"But how??"
"I don't know,"
"What are you saying?? See, either you tell me what to do else I leave for my home,"
"No, I am serious. John isn't with me. After seeing everyone around me, I feel lonely,"
"Ok, let me do something,"
"Tell me anything. Have you heard anything else while my father was talking on phone,"
"Let me recollect,"
"Ya, please. It is our only expectation to find John. Let us find John first, then I will settle scores with my father,"
