Emra Rose Scamander pushed her trolley with anticipation; looking the Hogwarts Express excitedly. Her parents followed her close behind. Emra's sister, Lilith, ran up to them; giving their parents big hugs.

When she separated from their embraces, Emra listened to her say "See you at Christmas! Love you!"

Lilith hopped on the train. Emra dumped her things on top of the pile and turned to her parents. Before they reached her, she heard 'Emra! Do be careful with what you say!' from her mother.

Emra smiled "Don't worry, mum! I won't always answer peoples thoughts!"

Tina gave her daughter a tight hug "Please don't." she whispered in Emra's ear.

Emra smiled "I won't."

She turned to her father and gave him a big hug. She felt her heels leave the ground a little bit and her father say "Be careful, my little rosebud."

Emra felt tears roll down her cheeks a little bit "I will, dad."

Emra hopped on the train and behind her the doors shut and the train started moving. She stared out the window of the train door; waving at her parents until they were completely out of sight. Emra turned at started walking through the little corridor, looking for a place to sit. She found her sister in a compartment in the middle of a conversation.

Her brother was sitting a few compartments down with his friends. The door was open, allowing her to pick up a few of their thoughts.

'I'm sure she's not that annoying.' one boy thought.

Emra heard Alex say "My youngest sister is so annoying, with all her mind reading stuff!"

Emra shook her head. She made a mental note to write to their parents as soon as they got there that Alex has been telling people about her Legilimency. They specifically told them not to say anything, unless absolutely necessary. Emra guessed the 'absolutely necessary' part was specifically for her; in case she accidentally replied to someone thoughts.

She sat down in an almost empty compartment. There was one girl sitting in it. Her hair was black and tied back in a long plait down her back. Emra looked at her "Sorry. You don't mind, do you?"

The girl shook her head. Emra smiled and held out her hand "I'm Emra Scamander. You are?"

The girl looked at her hand and took it "I'm Adilyn Moses." she said, quietly. Emra caught that her eyes were almond-shaped and a very pretty sapphire color. She looked out the window. She must been contemplating with her thoughts, because she started to think 'Was that Newt Scamander on the platform? I saw him hug two girls? Are those his children?'

Emra giggled a little bit. Adilyn looked at her "Was I thinking weird? Sometimes I make weird faces when I think."

"No. I was just laughing because you are a good guesser." Emra chuckled.

Adilyn squinted her eyes "Wait. You're the second girl I saw hug him!" she exclaimed. "But.... how did you know what I was asking myself?"

Emra felt her cheeks turned pink. 'Uh oh. I've done exactly what I promised mum I wouldn't do!' Emra took a deep breath "Um..... there's something you should know about me, Adilyn."

Before she could say anything, Adilyn blurt out really fast "Ohmygod! You're a liar!"

Emra, a little surprised how fast she said those words, laughed "No! I didn't lie about anything!" she saw Adilyn let out a sigh of relief "I'm a legilimens." at the sight of Adilyn's confusion, Emra went on "Meaning I can read minds...."
