When I Met You | Newt x Reader

Fear.

When you saw the sight in front of you, you immediately ran over to Newt. It looked like he couldn't breath.

"Newt hey breath alright you have to breath" you said softly so he wouldn't panic anymore.

You started to run the bottom of his back, an attempt to calm him down which seemed to work but he was still gasping for air. He turned his head to look at you in the eyes and just stared at you. He had started to regain control over his breathing until eventually he has full control.

"I-I don't know what happened" Newt said in a shaky tone.

Thomas came over to Newt and hugged him.

"Hey Newt it's alright ok its alright"

For some reason you felt like someone was staring at you. You turned your head and then that's when you realised someone was watching you, Teresa.

"Uh ok I-I'll be right back" you stuttered.

Despite the weirds looks you got from Minho you walked over to Teresa. Just before you reached her she held up her hand up an indication for you to stop.

"Hey Y/N can you hear me?"

You just stood there, dumbfounded. Teresa had just talked to you in your head.

"You can do it too you know just focus on me think about saying something to me I know it sounds crazy but just trust me"

Thinking of Teresa, talking to her you thought of something to say when it finally hit you.

"You know I think I'm going mental" you weren't sure if she had heard you or not until she answered you back.

"Haha very funny now get Thomas okay?"

Instead of answering her in your head, which you still weren't so sure of you just mouthed the words okay. You turned around and headed for Thomas.

"O-oh hey Y/N wait what are you" before he could finish you basically yank him off of Newt.

"Alright let's go big man come on" you said, in a childish tone.

"Hey come over to the woods" Teresa telepathically told you.

With a groan you ushered Thomas into the woods, half pushing him there.

"Hey what are you doing! Come on let me go" Thomas pleaded.

"No sir no can do" you said, sarcasm in your voice.

After searching for Teresa in the woods for awhile you finally found her. You turned your head to see Thomas looking at you, with his eyebrows furrowed.

"What don't look at me I don't know what this is about either" you said putting your hands up in surrender.

"She can do it too you know" Teresa said, almost in a whisper.

"S-she can?" Thomas questioned.

"Hello? Keep me in the loop hole here I'm lost" you stated mockingly.

"Right we'll were talking about how you can talk in our minds too" Teresa said still whispering.

"Wait she can? When and how did you find that out" Thomas questioned.

"Yes I can bit confusing isn't it" you said to Thomas, telepathically.

"Wait wow I didn't even know I could talk to you like that, well in your head" you said, very shocked.

"Yeah well I can do it to you too" Thomas said in your mind.

"Ok now you have to keep me in the loop hole" Teresa said jokingly.

You couldn't help but laugh no way this was real no chance. The first thing you know you wake up in a strange unknown but some how familiar place called the Glade. After that you find out that there is a place beyond the big stone walls that make the Glade called the Maze, which not to mention has terrifying creatures inside that can produce poisonous stingers that can drive you crazy if you don't get injected with a weird blue liquid. And to top all of that off you are getting strange memories and know things that other people don't know and can talk to two random people telepathically that you've only known for less that a week.

"What's so funny" Thomas and Teresa said in unison.

"Oh nothing just the fact that I think I'm going crazy" you said while letting out a grunt as you sat down with your back against a tree.

"Yeah that's just how it is I guess" Teresa said coldly but a bit reassuring.

"Well you didn't have to say it like that Teresa it's not all bad" Thomas said while sitting down next to you.

"Well I think I'm going to hit the sack alright" Teresa basically yawned.

"Night" you and Thomas said at the same time, you couldn't help but let out a shaky laugh.

Without noticing, you had started crying. Sobs wracked your body but Thomas didn't mention it he just held you close and let you cry in his embrace.

"W-why us Thomas just why"

"I don't know Y/N I don't know" Thomas said just as the doors started to close along with a bit of his faith of getting out of the horrid place that they were trapped in called the Maze.
