Movie Day

I wake up alone.

"Brooke? Where are you?" I yell.

"I'll be right there. Stay in bed." She replies.

I hear footsteps coming up the stairs, then I see Brooke.

"I made you breakfast." She says.

"Before I eat... Come here. I wanna ask you something." I reply.

She walks over to me and sits down.

"What is it?" She inquires.

"Alright... So... Um... Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask.

"I thought I already was. Oh wait. You're just asking.

Of course I'll be your girlfriend." She smiles at me.

I smile back at her and then start to get up.

"No. Stay there." She says.

She leaves the room and comes back with a tray full of food.

"Breakfast in bed." She says.

I thank her and start to eat. After I devour all the food, I remember that my parents are dead.

"Brooke... Are my parents really dead?" I ask.

"That's what you told me last night." She says.

"Oh..." I say sadly.

"Come on baby. Let's go watch Netflix." She says.

I get out of the bed and walk downstairs with Brooke following me. I walk into my living room and turn on the tv. Brooke sits beside me.

"You get to pick what we watch." She whispers in my ear, while wrapping her arms around my waist.

"Okay. I wouldn't get too comfy there babe." I say.

I turn on Doctor Who and Brooke groans.

"I hate this show." She says, removing her arms.

"Why?" I ask.

"It's scary." She whispers.

"You think Doctor Who is scary? All the more reason to watch it." I say, smirking.

"Why are you smirking?" She asks.

"When you get scared, you'll hold on to me tighter." I answer, wrapping my arms around her.

She stops talking and lays her head on my chest, watching the show. Suddenly she gets scared and pulls me closer to her. I start to rub her back soothingly and hold her closer.

She sighs and continues watching the show. We make it through two seasons and she decides she's seen enough.

"Let me pick a movie now." She says.

"Alright. Alright." I say, giving her the remote.

"Ooh! We're watching The Croods." She says excitedly.

"You are such a child." I say, laughing.

She starts the movie and wraps her arms around me. I wrap an arm around her waist and lay my head on her chest. We watch the movie and I actually liked it, but I wasn't about to tell Brooke that.

"Did you like the movie?" She asks me.

"It was okay." I say.

She stands up and pulls me to my feet.

"I'm gonna order pizza. Sound okay with you?" She asks.

"Sounds perfect." I say.

She walks into the kitchen and calls the pizza place. She orders our pizza then hangs up the phone.

"How long until they get here?" She asks me.

"Hmm... About fifteen minutes." I say.

She walks towards me and brushes my hair out of my eyes. Her tank top starts to rise up so I place my hands on her waist and pull her close to me.

"Are you gonna kiss me or not?" She asks.

"Hmm... I don't know." I say.

She glares at me and then puts her lips against mine. I pull her closer to me. Fireworks are going off in my head. Then she pulls away.

"That ended entirely too soon." I mumble.

"You read my mind." She says.

I press my lips against hers again. Our lips move in perfect sync, then I feel her gently bite my bottom lip. I pull away and look at her.

"Oh my god. I'm so sorry. I just got really into the kiss. I'm sorry." She apologizes.

"It's fine. It's just... I'm not ready for this and neither are you." I say.

"Yeah I know." She agrees.

She walks back into the kitchen and leans against the counter.

'God, she's hot.' I think to myself.

I walk over towards her and pick her up and set her up on the counter. She looks at me confused.

"You looked hot. You look even hotter now." I say, smirking.

She blushes and looks at the ground.

'Maybe this defines me. What I do to make this girl blush.' I think, as the doorbell rings.
