It had been a couple of weeks since the ball and I had become isolated and scared. Severus gave me gilly weed for the second task.

I stood on the stage in an emerald bikini and felt alot of eyes on me but the only eyes I cared about weren't to be found. Suddenly a loudspeaker crackled to life as Albus's voie emmited from it. "Welcome to the second task. Last night something was stolen from each of our champions. A treasure of sorts. These four treasures, one for each champion, now lie on the bottom of the black lake. In order to win each champion need only find their treasure and return to the surface. Simple enough. Except for this, they will have one hour to do so and one hour only. After that they'll be on their own." I put the gilly weed in my mouth and swallowed. I gaged but got threw it. "Good luck." I heard Draco say from behind me. I stared at the water. "Thanks." I said as I got i to my starting position. "You may begin at the start of the cannon." Albus said. The cannon fired and I dove into the water. Underwater the effects of the gilliweed took hold, my hands and feet become webbed. I listened and started swimming toward voices as quickly as I could while using my wolf abilities. I swam among the fish and rocks. I then heard muffled screams. I swam closer to an open area and found Ron, Hermione, Cho Chan, a blonde girl from Beauxbatons, and Severus tied in place by their ankles. I swam to Severus and untied his ankle. I swam us to the surface and as soon as his head hit the water he gasped for air. The cannon went off and the crowds cheered. Severus and I swam to the deck, where we were helped out from the water. Draco rushed up to me and put a bathrobe around me then handed me a towle. I thanked him and looked toward the water. Cedric came up with Cho and then krum with Hermione. I relized I was the first one out of the water and I was leading in first place. The hour was almost up when harry flew out of the water and landed on the deck where the crowd was. Harry and I grinned at each other. "Attention! Attention! The winner is..." Albus paused while looking toward me. "Jana Vilkas and Harry Potter for saving Ronald Weasley and the little girl from Beauxbatons." He said with a proud grin. I blushed.

Barty Crouch is waiting for Harry and I. "Congratulations Vilkas, fine achievement." He turned to Harry. "Well done boy. I'm sorry we haven't spoken, after all your story is one I've heard many times. Quite remarkable. Tragic of course, to lose one's family. Never whole again are we? Still, life goes on. And here we stand. I'm sure your parents would be very proud today Potter." Barty said. I smiled and hugged harry. I pulled away as Harry was about to say something but closed his mouth when Mad-Eye approached us. "Bartimus! Not trying to lure Potter and Vilkas into one of the ministry's summer internships are we? Last boy who went into the department of ministries never came out!" Moody shouted. His tongue flickered out from the cornor of his mouth. Barty walked up to him when he saw it as if remembering something. Maybe he knew moody was a threat. Barty walked away from us. "Sir, let me walk with you?" I called as I chased after him. He nodded.

We walked toward the forest and once we were safe in the trees I turned on him. "You know Moody is a threat to?" I asked. He shook his head. "I know that he's not Moody." He said. I was confused. "The only way that would be possible if he is drinking Polyjuice potion." I said. He nodded. "Then who?" I asked curiously. "My son... Barty Crouch jr." He said. I was stunned. I heard a stick break. "Run!" Barty hissed. I took of toward the school.

I was almost at Albus's office when Moody stepped into my path causing me to halt. "Get out of my way Jr." I hissed. He smirked. "So he did know? Guess I made the right choice in killing him then." He said coldly. I was horrified. I walked passed him and ran up to Albus's office. I barged in without knocking. Albus looked up from his desk. "Barty Crouch is dead, sir." I told him. He stood. "Are you sure, Miss Vilkas." I looked to the side where Moody stood behind me. I looked back a Albus meaningfuly. "Yes. In the forest. I was accompanying him back to the castle through the forest when he heard a stick snap. He told me to run and when when I came to tell you..." I paused, wanting to tell him everything but knew I couldn't. "When Professor Moody told me he was dead." I said hoping that he understood. He walked from behind his desk and came to stand infront of me quickly. He looked me in the eyes as I felt him nudge against my mental barriers. 'If I tell you, He will have Harry and Severus killed.' I mentaly told him. His eyes widened abit. "I will inform the Minister about this tragic accident." Albus said as he walked back to his desk.

I sat in a chair listening to Fudge and Albus argue. "A man has died here. And he won't be the last, you must take action." Albus urged. "I will not. In times like these the wizard world looks to its leaders for strength Dumbledore." Fudge said defiantly. "Then for once show them some." Albus snapped. "The tri-wizard tournament will not be cancelled. I will not be seen as a coward." Fudge said then shot me a look of bravery. "But surely that is what's right, no matter what others think." Albus snapped back sarcasticly. "What did you say? What did you say to me?" Fudge shouted. I heard the sharp intake of air come from the door. "Excuse me gentlemen, it may interest you to know that this conversation is no longer private." Moody said as he pointed to the door as Harry entered. "Harry! Harry how good to see you again." Fudge said suddenly cheerful. Harry looked to Albus. "I can come back later Professor." He said. "Oh not necessary Harry the minister and I are done. I'll be back in a moment. Minister, after you. Harry do feel free to indulge in a liquorice snack in my absence, but I have to warn you they're a little bit sharp." I followed Albus out. "Miss Vilkas, go to your room and thank you for telling me what you saw." Albus said. I nodded and did as told.

I took off all of my clothes and put on a silk emerald house coat. I played some music while pouring two glasses of red wine. The door opened and in came Severus. But I pretended not to notice as he shut the door quietly. I stood with my back to him and swayed softly to the music. I felt him come to stand behind me. He slipped my housecoat off my shoulders and kissed my neck hungrly as his hands slid from my hips to my stomach. He slowly undid my robe and it fell to the floor. He growled as he pressed up against me. I swayed my hips which he seemed to love. He picked me up amd walked over to the bed he threw me down on it so I landed on my back. I had a sudden flashback of the man that attacked me from the summer. Severus swooped down and kissed my neck greedily. I remembered the man do the same. Tears welled up in my eyes. "Stop." I whispered but he didn't hear me. Severus reached down and touched my center like the man did. I lost it. "GET OFF OF ME! STOP IT!!" I screamed. Severus drew back in suprise. I was crying hard as I covered my face with both of my hands. "Jana, whats wrong?" He asked with confusion. "I remember why I ran away from Moody, I remember everything." I confessed while I sobbed. Severus scooped me up and craddled me on his lap, while I sobbed. He told me to tell him but I couldn't.
