"Guys I don't think this bus is gonna hold on much longer!" Alex yelled through the bus to Lia and Kaden.
"Okay we are gonna pull you guys up." Seconds later they were being slowly pulled upwards to safety.
"Frost what about the heli that's still watching us? By now we are on every news station across the globe." Elliot asked curiously. She stared at Alex waiting for his response.
"Guess we ride it out as high class criminals." He gave Elliot a smirk which she replicated. Now not only were they being chased by every policeman in the state, but they were also being chased by gangs who felt threatened by them.
"Just so you know I'm the better criminal." She gave Alex a wink and he just shook his head. "Is there a bridge close by?" She asked. He could see the wheels turning in her head. So many possibilities, so many things to do.
"No, why? What are you thinking?"
"We need to lose the helicopter and soon. We have probably 4 minutes until the next wave of police officers come after us." She kept thinking about other ways to lose them and disappear. By the time they we're almost to the top they heard sirens screaming from the distance. "Shit! I take it back. Pull faster!" Elliot yelled to her two other friends. She saw Lia as a sister, but she had so many secrets and Elliot knew that. She wasn't stupid, she knew people were hiding things. She knew there were things that she may never figure out but she was willing to risk everything just to see her mother and ask her. Why?
They finally reached the top and pulled their selves up and out of the bus just as it tumbled down the cliff.
"Jesus, glad that wasn't me." Elliot said as she looked over the edge with a shrug.
"You almost died and you are making jokes about it." Alex exclaimed with a 'are you serious' tone.
"What, I'm still alive aren't I." She shrugged. She looked up at the helicopter, you could see the mischief swirling in her green eyes.
"Don't do whatever you are thinking, the cops are almost here, let's go." Alex rushed out. Elliot rolled her eyes and gave the helicopter the bird.
"Come on." She ran to one of the two BMW's and hopped in, the rest of the group following suit. She happened to end up with Kaden.
Kaden sat in the driver seat, he turned the car on and the engine purred alive.
The second they peeled down the narrow road, cops were on their tail. Elliot reached up and grabbed the radio to speak to everyone.
"Guys we have to split up. Amelia since you have the least driving experience I'm gonna draw them away from you and Alex so you can escape alright?"
"Okay, just tell me when."
"I'm not gonna have time so the second you hear gunshots, go." Elliot didn't wait for her reply, instead grabbed a gun and rolled the window down.
"Kaden, whatever you do, don't stop driving." He nodded in response. Elliot climbed out of the window and hung out of it. Aiming at the cop cars.
"Pull over." One of them yelled through a microphone which was completely ignored.
Elliot shot at the cops making them swerve around to try not to get hit, some of them crashed but the others kept driving.
Somewhere on a tv
"It looks to be a group of highly trained mercenaries. We don't know the identity of the group or where they came from. The live footage shows them having extreme reflexes and deadly accuracy. Keep a look out for groups of two males and two females in their early twenties. Keep in mind this footage is raw and can be frightening." The live footage from the helicopter following the group came onto the screen.
