How It All Began

Act 8: Everything Falls Eventually to the Glimmer of Peace

(With that, comes the end of the story of Sonic's, Shadow's, and Silver's parents! To be honest, I can only see this ending in tragedy, and this could explain why Mephiles hates all three of them. Heck, he doesn't hesitate to kill Sonic, turn Silver against them, and tries and fails to drive Shadow down. Either way, I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you all for reading and staying with me on this journey. Also, this copy made it to the end! Thank gods!)

                A small zone in Mobius was once under the rule of two powerful hedgehogs. They were married, and his wife soon gave birth to a boy hedgehog, who looked like Shadow. She soon had another hedgehog who bared a resemblance to Sonic, and finally giving birth to her last son after the two hedgehogs were born after one year. The last one looked like Silver. Each of the hedgehogs had unique powers, but their parents were busy with running the world. They hired Novawisp, Cannonfire, and a young squirrel named Flare. Cannon was the husband to Nova. Cannon would spar with young Shadow, Flare and young Silver would do some simply magic tricks, and Nova would run laps with young Sonic to see who was faster. However, there were some notable incidents such as young Shadow and Sonic had tapped young Silver to the ceiling! When the parents saw this, they screamed in horror. Cannon had to reassure the parents that Silver will be fine. Flare ended up scolding young Shadow and Sonic while Nova went to get Silver down from the ceiling of the castle.

Vector and Vanilla went to live in Central City to have their own lives together, yet they tried their best to keep in contact with the royal families. Princess Ann and Arth disbanded their kingdom and disappeared from everywhere to live their lives in peace together. Luka, Leon, and Miriam vanished from everyone's view and went to live their own lives. No one really saw them again, yet they did have descendants roaming around as later records stated.

Illosis did return to Soleanna to find the Scepter of Darkness locked away in a cell. She chuckled as she saw her scepter. She grinned darkly as she swiftly knocked it to the ground and teleported from the scene. Mephlies appeared and began to summon his dark army. He only had one thing on his mind: revenge against Sorely and Sonia.

A few years later, the parents did receive word from their friend, King Rob O'Hedge, about moving his family and dear cousin, Amy Rose, away from their home because of Mephiles and his dark army. The parents ordered Cannon, Nova, and Flare to watch over their sons for the night as they retired to their rooms. Just as they tucked the children to bed, there were cannons being fired at them!

"Sorely!" his wife cried out when the cannons struck the room near them.

"I'm alright, dear" he reassured his wife as he went to her side.

The two held each other close as they prepared to leave their ruined room to find their children. However, Mephiles landed in front of them with a dark beam in his hands.

"Mephiles!" Sorely shouted as he pushed his wife behind him, "What do you want from us?"

"Your end!" he shouted as he prepared to lunge his beam through Sorely.

However, everything moved in slow motion for King Sorely. Sonia ran in front of him as they dark beam went right through her! Sorely caught his wife as he held her dying body.

"Haha! This is what happens when you allowed love in your life! Now, all that's left is to kill your children" Mephiles said as he laughed.

Sorely couldn't let Mephiles hurt his children. He took a sword near his bed and swiftly cut Mephiles side. Mephiles let out a yell of pain as Sorely stood in his path.

"I won't let you hurt my children" he said in a low threating voice.

"Then you'll die with your wife!" Mephiles declared as he summoned a dark beam in his hand.

In a flash of black and blue, their attacks clashed and parried each other. It wasn't until Sorely blocked a strike, that Mephiles summoned another dark beam. He swiftly struck Sorely's chest and pulled it out. Blood poured from Sorely as he looked at his chest and began to shake.

"As if you could stop me again" Mephiles said as he walked away.

Just then, Sorely's sword pierced through Mephiles' side! Mephiles held his side as he gasped in pain.

"I can always delay you" Sorely said as he let go of his sword and fell besides his wife.

"You, pathetic king!" Mephiles shouted in disgust as he held his side.

He decided to find the children and dispose of them quickly. Sorely looked at his wife. Her eyes were closed. She wasn't breathing.

He sighed as he held her hand close to him, "I'll see you soon, my love"

He grinned and cried a bit as he closed his eyes just as a staff member ran to their room.

The staff members of the castle ran around shouting loudly, "The parents, our rulers, are dead!"

The three young brothers began to wail as they sank to their knees in sadness. However, one cannonball struck the side of the wall and broke a piece off the wall. Young Silver was too scared to move. Flare quickly pushed Silver away as the wall crushed her! Cannon quickly picked up the three brothers and ran away to hide them in the bushes. Cannon ordered the three hedgehogs to stay and hide in the bushes. He returned to see his wife sobbing at the lose of her close friend. He took her in his arms and hugged her tightly.

"Nova, my love, let's go our separate ways" he said calmly as he stroked her fur.

They shared a knowing look.

"I love you!" she said strongly as they shared a kiss.

Cannon took off as Nova ran the other direction. However, as she was escaping, she saw young Shadow being held by his throat by Mephiles!

"I won't let anyone stop me from conquering this world! I will make sure you three cannot stop me!" Mephiles said seriously as he opened a time portal.

He threw Shadow into the portal and boasted how that portal will lead him 50 years into the past! Young Sonic helped Young Silver run away from Mephiles. However, Mephiles could only laugh as he easily swiped Young Silver away from Young Sonic.

"I'll hopeful only see you in the future" Mephiles grinned as he opened another portal.

He tossed Young Silver in and closed it. Nova ran around and found a Young Sonic hiding in a bush crying. Nova tapped his shoulder and motioned for him to be quiet. She then helped Young Sonic escape from Mephiles. However, Young Sonic soon passed out, so Nova quickly carry him and placed him in the care of King Rob. Young Shadow was injured and crying as he fell to the floor or a lab. Professor Geraldo and Maria found him and thus began to develop Project Shadow. Young Silver found himself in the burned buildings of Crisis City. A Young Blaze later found him and remained by his side. For their safety, Nova soon found a Chaos Emerald and used the power of the emerald to lock their memories away. She then gave chase to Mephiles to seal him away back in the Scepter of Darkness. She then returned the scepter back to Soleanna to keep it locked away from anyone who dare wanted this mad hedgehog to roam around and kill anything innocent. Little did everyone know, that this was all part of Mephile's plan for revenge that would come to pass as their children would rise up and fight to bring him to an end.
