Act 3: A Flame and Light

(To be honest, this was supposed to be more along the lines of a Disney princess story, but thank gods it was destroyed. I feel like this is much better. Also, like, out of all the Sonic villains, I would love to have Mephiles back. Actually, I've heard rumors that he was supposed to appear in Sonic Forces as one of the phantoms Infinite created. Such a shame. Anyway, enjoy!)

(Cannon's POV)

                            As we ran through the tunnels, we reached a dead end.

"Where do we go from here?" Rob asked as Sorely looked around.

I felt the wall for some kind of switch. I then felt something very odd. I pressed my hand against the loose brick and found a door in front of me! Gaia began to sway a bit as Sorely went to hold him.

"This place is filled with darkness. Gaia can't handle it. This isn't the way. Take Gaia the other direction. Rob and I can handle this part" I said seriously.

"On it" Sorely said as he held the ghost and ran the other way.

As for Rob and me, we went into the room and saw a cauldron and a bunch of potions stacked against the shelf with books.

"What is this place?" Rob asked with worry.

"Something very dark. I know why Gaia is here. We have to trash this place!" I shouted at Rob.

"Are you sure? Is that safe? What happens if these potions hit each other?" Rob asked concerned.

"I'll handle the potions. You throw the books into the cauldron" I said seriously as I picked up a few potions and threw it to the ground.

I can't believe she was here the entire time. This is really bad. Where is she anyway?

(Sonia's POV)

I arrived in a new zone and took a quick glance around. This must be Soleanna. I heard this is a new zone! Then, this jackal raised her scepter and slammed it to the ground to make a wave of darkness pour out of it!

"Everyone! Get away!" I exclaimed as I waved my hands to create a silver shield in front of myself.

The people and creatures began to flee from the scene as I slowly marched towards her.

"Who are you?! Why did you do this?!" I shouted as I faced her.

"Hm? Oh, the princess. What did you say? Never mind, you won't be a bother to me" she said as she flicked her hand to send me to the ground!

I stood up and clenched my fists. She's already hurting my kingdom somehow and now she's hurting this zone. I can't just sit back and do nothing. No, I have to do something!

"I won't let you get away with this. I will stop you!" I yelled as a light blue light shined over me.

She turned her head to me and smirked.

"Well, he did say he wanted you alive, but he didn't say I couldn't harm you, princess! Prepare to face my dark magic!" she yelled as she waved her scepter downward and turned her attention to me.

(Nova's POV)

Seriously, after spending one day with the Silver Wind, she decides to be reckless! I will never understand it. We then crossed zones and found ourselves at Soleanna. This place is still a young kingdom and zone, but something very dangerous is here. Who would want to come here? No... It couldn't be her, could it?

"Sonia!" I called out to her.

She was too far ahead! How am I going to do this? Once I arrived in the city, I saw people screaming and fleeing.
