Nether Lore

I came up with this last night. Again. 

Don't ask.

So... I was thinking. Pre-1.16 update was a normal, peaceful time. While the update was being developed, the pigman (now piglins) cultivated the warped and crimson forests and discovered the basalt deltas. Soul sand valleys were a hostile place to them and they rarely ventured there. 

The pigmen evolved, and had a nice time. 

But then, there was war. 

Ghasts wanted to take over the land, and not just float in the sky. A subspecies of Ghasts even evolved into striders, becoming their own species and distancing themselves from the Ghasts. The striders mainly inhabited the lava after an agreement with the newly-evolved piglins to keep to the lava, unless tamed or tricked (meaning the warped fungus). When on land they now shiver in fear of being attacked by piglins. 

Ghats fireballed the piglins' structures, turning them into what's now known as bastions. Some piglins then trained for war especially, turning into what we know as a piglin brute. Zombified piglins are the ones from the war. They've been through lots and are half dead (so to speak, as they are zombies), but will fight when provoked. 

Hoglins were farmed before the development of the update, but were hidden (and I'm using the update just as a relative period of time, because the nether creatures definitely didn't know they were being updated). During the war, the hoglins were neglected and ran free. Some fought and turned into zombie hybrids. 

Nether Fortresses have been around before the update, as we all know. Blazes and wither skeletons were mainly not affected by this update, although sometimes coming into contact with the newly evolved piglins did occur. 

Gold to the piglins is a sign of honor, and will attack if you don't come bearing or wearing gold. They'll trade for gold, though, to keep their economy going (whyamidoingthis). Hoglins have developed aggression to basically all intruders, and gold won't stop them. Nothing will. Well, death. 

Aaand that's all! I dunno, I was working on this during school breaks (and sometimes during class while waiting for the teacher to start sharing)
