Chapter 5

We ate lunch but everyone was so sad that Jason left. Eddie never left his room, so I don't know how he is. Hannah is watching Frozen. I walked over and sat down next to her. I put her on my lap and braided her hair into tiny braids. I kissed her cheeks and got up to go get ready. I just need to put a little makeup on. I looked out my window and saw Jack standing there waiting.

I want to Eddie's room. "Hey I'm going to the park with my friends! So if you need me, call me." I stood there quietly waiting for something. "I love you!" I said walking away for the door. I walked downstairs and got to the door.

"Where are you?" My mother asked me.

"I'm going to the park with my friends!" I said smiling.

"Okay, be safe!" She yelled from the kitchen.

"I will, love you!" I said opening the door.

"Love you too." I heard her say when I closed the door. Jack walked over to my driveway.

"Hey!" He said pulling his bike with him.

"Hi" I said getting on my bike. "Have you been to the park?" I asked him. He shook his head 'no'! "Well come on!" I said pleading away. We went down the hill and got to the park.

We walked in silence to the swings. I sat down swinging a little bit. My feet are still on the ground. He did the same as me. I know he was looking at me.

"So, how long have you been living here?" He asked me. I looked at him in his blue eyes.

"For about 4 year now" I said looking at him still. "I have always been to the same school around here. Just we moved to different place. My first house, I live their about 9 years and my second house for about 5 years. Now I'm here." I said looking at the street.

"This is the first time I ever moved. I'm a senior in high school and they made me move." he said laughing.

"What high school are you going?" I asked him.

"North Face High!" He said standing. "Lets get ice cream." he puts out his hand for me to take. I grab his hand and he help me up. "I'll pay!" He said getting money out of his pocket.

We walked up to the man. "Chocolate, please" I asked him.

"Make that two" Jack said handing the money to him. We started walking through the trail. "Any siblings?" Jack asked.

"Yeah, 3" I said licking my ice cream. "Do you have any?" I asked him.

"No, I'm an only child!" He said smiling big. We found a bench and sat down. "I need to tell you something" he said licking his ice cream.

"Yeah, what is it?" I asked him and looked at him.

"Your gorgeous!" My eyes widen at him.

"You sound like you watch The Fault in our Stars!" I laughed a little. I looked back at him and he wasn't kidding. "Thank you, Jack and you have already said that today." I said smiling at him.

"I know, I did but I can't help it." He said laughing.

"Have you ever watch The Fault In Our Stars?" I asked smiling. He shook his head. "Come on" I got up from the bench. I started running down the path.

"Where we going?" Jack yelled to me. I just smiled and hop onto my bike.

"My place!" I yelled running up the hill. We arrived and I opened the door. Jack came running in and we both ran up to my room. I saw Eddie door still closed. Maybe I should go check on him.

"Jen? Are you okay?" Jack asked me.

I snack out of it. "Yeah I'm fine." I pushed Jack into my room and get the movie set up.
