Chapter 14

I pulled into the daycare. I sat there looking around. I looked through my glove compartment of my car and grab a picture of Jason, Eddie, Hannah and I smiling big and Eddie laughing. Jason holding Hannah and I'm hugging Eddie. I grab a piece of paper and started writing.

Dear Jason,
Everything great here, I mean mom always in her office. Works late at night again. Mom stop doing that after, you know who left. There is a new kid in school. His named Jack Jackson. We are dating and don't go crazy. He's great. I wish you were here. Lucas is weird, well first of all he hit me and kicked me. I never thought he would hurt me. I'm his cousin. Eddie is in the hospital. I don't know what happen, but he's fine. Hannah doing great, smart as ever. I love you. I have to go. Bye and please be safe.

I get out of the car. I grab the picture and letter. I walked inside and walked to the front desk. "Hi, I want to send a letter to my brother Jason." I said handing the letter. She smiled and got Hannah. She said she would send the letter.

I walked Hannah to the car. I buckled her in and got in the front seat. "Are we going to see Eddie?" Hannah asked me. I smiled at her.

"Yes we are!" I said to her. She smiled and put her hands up. I love when she smiles. I started the car and pulled out of the parking lot. Hannah and I unbuckled. We walked in and went to the 5th floor.

My mom ran to us and hugged me. She was checking me if I was okay. Lifting my shirt so she can see my ribs and felt my ribs to see if they were broken. "Oh goodness, your okay!" She said smiling at me.

"Yeah, why?" I laughed a little and smiled.

"Your school called and told me. So I was looking everywhere for you." she said hugging me again. I hugged her back and smile. "Great new!" She smiled wider.

"What?" I asked her.

"Eddie is awake!" She said smiling. I smiled and ran to his room. I opened the door and saw him smiling.

"Eddie!" I screamed and ran to him. He hugged my head and I hugged his side. I feel tears running down my face. Tears of joy! "I thought you were dead!" I practically screamed.

"Sorry, just having problems at school!" He said, then quickly covering his mouth.

"What?" I asked looking at him.

"Nothing, Jennifer!" He said. I could see he didn't want to talk about it.

"Can you please tell me when you get home?" I asked him smiling. I still had tears on my face. He nodded and I hugged him again.

Then we heard yelling outside the hospital room. I looked at the door. It sounded like Lucas. I looked at the door shock. I froze and just stared at the door.

"Jen, what going on!" Ed asked me and I stood up. I put my hand on the door knob. "Jen" he asked me. I turned and smiled so he wouldn't be afraid.

"I'm going to see, what's going on!" I said smiling and left the room. I saw Lucas yelled at my mom and his mom. I walked slowly and stay behind my mom.

My mom turned and saw me. "Honey, go back into the room." she said walking me to the room. I moved from her and walked behind my aunt. She put her arm on my right arm and rub my left arm.

Lucas saw me, with my tears and my fear of him. Lucas looks down at the floor. He looked back at me and walked a little, but Aunt Jamie moved in front of me. "I'm sorry Jennifer!" He said crying.

"No, your not!" I yelled, "hitting me, was the wrong thing from family. Even from my own cousin. So don't even start, you asshole. You can't even know how mad I am." I yelled and started walking away.

"Jennifer!" I hear Lucas yell but I just keep walking away. I opened the door and I saw Eddie crying. He must of heard everything. I hug him tight to my body. I kissed his head, to calm him down. Nothing work, but he just kept crying.
