The Boy with the Bat [1] Stiles Stilinski

Chapter Three:

Hope grabbed her bag and ran out the door before Stiles even had the chance to speak to her. She felt as if he was lying to her and she certainly didn't want to hear another lie. Hope felt someone grab a hold of her hand as she walked to the main doors. She turned her head to see Scott with a concerned look.

"Why'd you rush out?" he asked her "Because I feel as if everyone is lying to me including you" she blurted out "why would I lie to you?" Scott says, "I don't know maybe because I found a freaking dead body!" Hope yelled "That was just a coincidence" Scott answered, "That's funny because that's exactly what Stiles told me" she sighs "Look Hope.....Stiles will explain everything to you, but I have to go" What the hell! Everyone was acting bizarre.

Stiles rushed down the corridor to try and catch up with Hope instead he lost track of her. How can someone so small disappear that fast. He sighed and started heading towards the lockers accidently bumping into Lydia causing her to drop her books over the floor. She looked up at him and raised her eyebrow "What's going on?" she asked, "I'm about to lie to Hope about why I disappeared earlier" Stiles sighed.

He hated himself for Lying to Hope but he knew it'd be the only way to protect her. Stiles couldn't live with himself if she died "Being in love with Hope means you need to be honest with her" Allison blurted out immediately slapping her hand to her mouth "Oh shit.....Stiles I didn't-" she started but Lydia cut her off.

Stiles rolled his eyes the second Lydia said "Wait.....you're in love with Hope?" Stiles sighed in annoyance. He didn't want the entire school to find out about how he felt "I'm in love with her but she'll never feel the same" he added "You never know until you try but Allison's right. You need to tell her the truth. You can't start a relationship based on lies" Lydia said.

He knew they were right, but he didn't know how to tell her the truth. He didn't want to put Hope in danger. "How do I even begin to tell her?" He asked, "You start from the beginning" Allison stated, "You mean start with Scott" Stiles asked and Allison nodded in return.

Hope sighed in annoyance slamming her locker shut "So....I wanted to ask if you wanted to study tomorrow night?" she heard a voice say, she turned around to see Kaleb "I'll have to get back to you on that. My parents usually have stuff planned but have a habit of forgetting to tell me" Hope laughed only to notice Stiles standing behind Kaleb "If you'll excuse me I have something I need to take care off" she said.

"I know you lied, and you suck!" Hope yelled, throwing the jacket at Stiles. She noticed Kaleb watching her from a distance which kind of made her feel uncomfortable. She had a bad feeling about that kid "Hope just let me explain" Stiles blurted out "No.....I've gone past caring" she shouted before walking away.

The breeze started to pick up and Hope began to shiver. She rolled my eyes and walked back towards Stiles taking the jacket from his hands "I'm only talking to you because I'm cold and you're on my ride home but other than that you can forget it!" she snapped putting his jacket back on. Stiles chuckled at her words.

Stiles parked his jeep into his driveway and turned to face Hope. She hadn't said a single word to him since getting into his stupid jeep. She didn't feel like talking because she didn't want to hear another lie from the boy she loved.

Hope prepared herself to get out of the jeep but felt Stiles' hand touch hers stopping her from leaving "Please....let me explain" he asked with sadness in his eyes. Hope took a deep breath and gave him a nod. She knew she'd give in eventually.

"My dad needed my help about the body" he blurted out "Why would he ask his son for help over a dead body?" Hope asked "because that's not the first body to show up......There's a pattern Hope and my dad knew I could figure it out" he tells her "I don't understand? How does that involve the others?" she asked
