Chapter 11: The Monster

In Nezu's Office

"Y/n you know the consequences of your actions are going to be major. After the multiple stunts you've pulled you put yourself at risk. To make the matters worse the whole secret about you being a secret has been blown." Nezu was sitting at his desk with his paws neatly folded on the table. You sat down in the chair that was right on the other side of the desk.

"I know that what I have done is wrong and I should be severely punished for it. So, if you want to take me out of the hero course-"

"Who said we were going to take you out of the hero course. If it wasn't for you y/n, Aizawa could've been in more danger than he was in. With your secret being compromised to class 1-A we as the teachers have decided that it's best for you to fully go to school with them." Y/n stood there with her mouth wide open in utter shock. "Close that mouth of yours, you may attract flies."

"Uncle, you want me to go to school full time. I don't see how that's possible with me being ahead of my grade level academically it just doesn't make sense. Does dad know about this?!"

"Actually your dad is the one who proposed the idea. We already come up with the solution that you will be assigned second year work, but remain in class 1-A for the lessons. It shouldn't be that hard for you to follow it on your own. We wanted to give you this opportunity because you haven't experienced what it's like to go to school."

"Soooooo what your saying is that I'm actually getting rewarded instead of being punished."

"Oh no on the contrary, you're grounded."

"Grounded?! Isn't that a little extreme."

"With you going through the files that we specifically told you not to, it sounds like a fair punishment. Now the whole reason I called you here is so we can discuss what you saw in those files."

"Well..."

Flashback

Y/n was about eight years old, and Aizawa had to teach his class at U.A. This left only one choice to babysit y/n, it was All Might.

"Now pumpkin, I'm going to need you to behave for Uncle Toshinori. I'll be at the school if you need anything, and if there are any emergencies you can always call me. Remember do not go in my office. Alright I'm off, love you," Aizawa leaned down and kissed his daughter on the top of her head and left through the front door to go to work.

"Uncle Toshinori!" Y/n went around the house looking for her uncle but no one answered her call. It was silent until she heard a loud snoring coming from the living room. To no one's surprise All Might had fallen asleep on the couch.

"Uncle is probably really tired from fighting the many bad guys yesterday. I'll let him go to sleep."

"Meow" A baby Maki started calling to y/n from the hallway. Y/n ran to catch Maki, but he wasn't going easy on you. He made you chase him around the whole house, he went inside the room with a door that was just barely open.

"I got you now you silly cat." Maki jumped down from the desk and went near y/n's feet.

"What's this? It has my name on the sticker?" Y/n opened the file, curious to what it contained. She opened it and saw many things that she wished she could unsee.

y/n pov

I opened the file and saw a picture of me, then I looked at the paper that was behind it. It read, 'The Case of Y/n L/N." I couldn't believe my eyes, I mean I knew I wasn't related to dad, but I never knew he had a whole file on me. I scrolled down the paper and I saw who my real parents were. I read the first line it said,

"M/f/n L/n

Status: Former Eighth Pro Hero

Cause of Death: Unknown

We have found multiple wounds on her mostly burns and slashes, most likely due to incisions.

Her body was found in the examination room on the floor."

I didn't know what to think when I read what happened. It felt like I was being ripped apart from the inside out. But, I kept reading on without hesitation.

"F/f/n L/n

Status: Former Fifth Pro Hero

Cause of Death: Unknown

Body found in the cell of the facility, most likely where they were kept.

Found with mysterious bumps, looks like poison, on the body."

This whole situation felt surreal, it felt like my whole life was a lie until this point. I wanted to cry or run away, just to get away from this room. I closed the file shut, not wanting to look at the rest of the papers in it. I made it look as though no one ever entered the room, and I closed the door to the office shut. I ran to my room and went into my closet. I sat down on the floor and I started to erase my memory (using Growthers quirk, i know the anime wouldn't have came out at the time, but bare with me please). I blacked out for a couple of minutes, but when I came to Uncle Toshinori was holding me in his arms in a tight embrace.

"Y/n, what happened is everything okay?"

"I-I though I saw a monster in the hallway!" I gave a kiddush lie so no one suspected anything from what I just witnessed.

"It's okay kid." He led me to the hallway where the office door could be seen. "See there is no monster. Now how about I make you chicken nuggets to feel better. He held my hand and led me to the kitchen to make dinosaur chicken nuggets (you could not tell me that dinosaur chicken nuggets hit way different than regular nuggets do.) I looked over my shoulder to see the door again. Uncle Toshi was wrong, there was a monster there, and that monster was the doorway to that horrid file.
