Chapter 6 :
-
Laurel's POV
Everything is dark, and my skin is cold. My head is pounding and I hear a faint voice, but I can't make out what it's saying. Why can't I move? Oh my god, I passed out. Pathetic, who passes out at the sight of the dark mark. How embarrassing. I can't wait for the conversation that's going to happen.
-
Draco's POV :
I showed her the mark, her face changed. I thought she was going to run. Tell. But instead, she starts falling backward, her eyes rolled back. I tried to catch her, but she still hit her head pretty hard. It's been a little while. I don't know how long this sort of thing takes, what if she's hurt, how would I know?
"Laurel, please wake up. I need you here.
I love you. I'm sorry I didn't let you say
it. I'm so sorry."
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I feel her hand grip mine. Her eyes flutter but she's still pretty out of it. I started crying, not knowing what this means for us, and because I'm worried she won't remember and I'll have to relive this moment again.
"Draco?"
"Yes darling, I'm here. I'm so sorry."
"I'm sorry I passed out."
"You're sorry? This is all my fault."
"Draco, I seriously doubt you chose to serve the dark lord.
Don't be stupid, I know you. This wasn't your choosing."
"Wait, so you're not mad? You're not going to leave me?"
"No. I- I love you Draco. I tried to tell you before.
Nothing could change that. I told you everything happens for a
reason. Our timing, this was meant to happen."
"How so?"
"Now you have a reason to fight on our side. You don't have
to serve Voldemort or your parents. You can be yourself, the
person I've always loved."
"I don't think it's that simple. But, I do know that I would
do anything to be by your side, forever. So I'll fight for you,
because I love you more than you'll ever know Laurel Graves."
I embraced her, and held her tight. I never wanted to let go of her ever again. I kissed her forehead, then her cheek and the other, her beautiful nose, and then planted my lips on hers. It was magical, for just being in one of the most vulnerable moments of my life, she sure made everything feel at peace.
Her hands ran through my hair, and my hands wandered to her waist. I pulled her on top of me, and she unbuttoned my shirt. Something that couldn't have happened before, because she would've eventually seen my mark. She ran her hands down my chest, and I couldn't help but feel it was a bit unfair. I unzipped her dress, and slid it down her shoulders. She looked so beautiful under the moonlight. I kissed down her neck as I heard her breathing get heavier. Before I knew it, she was unbuckling my belt and struggling to get my pants off.
-
After a lovely time in the Astronomy tower, we both got dressed back up and headed to our dorms.
"Meet you in the common room?"
"I wouldn't have it any other way."
-
Laurel's POV :
I can't believe Draco is a death eater, but it's also not that surprising. As the years have progressed at Hogwarts, he's become quieter and more secluded. Everyone knows his parents hide something, but THAT something is huge. I feel so bad for him, I know he didn't choose this. I'm just glad I get to be by his side in such a difficult time in his life.
I met him in the common room, and cuddled up on the couch with him. I stared into his icy blue eyes and smiled knowing that I had the pleasure of loving him. It's indescribable, the way I feel about him really. I love you isn't satisfactory to how I feel. I would put my life before his before I ever let anything bad happen to him. He's the love of my life, there is no one like him.
