CHAPTER TWENTY TWO ✨

Kiara's POV

We decided to go on a road trip to a music festival. Wow! Friends, memories, happiness,laughter,fun, excitement  and love, everything was succumbed.. except some ominous feelings.

I took a novel, sat on my bed cross legged and began to read.
Preeta came out of the bathroom,drying her hair, "We have to plan everything tomorrow. Are you ready?"

"Ooh! Too much ready" I pouted.

The next morning, we gathered at the cafe planning our things. We made a list-

Aman - Cars
Neil - Fuel
Karan - Speaker,Cassettes
Kiara - Snacks,food items
Roshni - Emergency items
Preeta - Video camcorder

"The list is made, preparation begins...Road trip to Music festival..this Monday. Wohoo!" Karan squirmed in joy.

The day of the trip arrived, I packed my bags and put it inside the dickey of the car. Neil was adjusting the bags.

"Where are everyone?" I asked

"Dunno, maybe buying things"

"Now" I twitched my brows

He shrugged dramatically and I chuckled at him.

"Hey guys" Roshni came and put another bag in the car.

"Roshni, we don't have much space left" Aman said

"So what?" She sneered "We can adjust right"

Ayush,Preeta,Karan came together

"Are you ready guys?" Ayush asked

"Ready" We all said in unison and hopped in the cars.

I scrolled down the window pane, and let the air come in. I eyed the road and the sights of the highway carried us. On the side of the highway, there were lovely Meadows and clear streams flowing next to it; Unimaginable beauty, Serene and peaceful feeling.

I am with those people who few days ago were my nemesis. Day turned into night, we parked out cars on an empty ground.
Some people were gathered around the bonfire,playing guitar and having drinks

"What say? Should we join them" Ayush scrunched his eyebrow

Preeta shrugged, "Let's see"

"Hello people!" Karan arranged some logs and sat along with them.

We spent the night there, with a group of teens who came for an adventure trip.

The next morning we got back in our cars and after four hours, We reached at the music festival.

"Today is going to be the best day of my life" Roshni exclaimed taking out her jacket and throwing it in air.

"Someone give her booze" Preeta said sarcastically

I giggled at her statement. "Guys, let's go to a nearby hotel and get changed in there"

There was a huge crowd, hustle and bustle in the concert. Obviously, it would. Since, it was BTS Concert and it has broad fanbase in India.

BTS (for those who don't know) Bangtan Sonyeondan  a South Korean Boy Band consisting of 7 members.

"I can't believe, BTS is here!" I squealed

"Should we move?" Ayush said nonchalantly, he didn't seem much excited and walked ahead.

"What happened to him?" I furrowed my brows in confusion and followed him.

"Kiara. Where are you going? " Aman asked

"I'll be back in few minutes" I whined and waved at him

Ayush stopped and turned behind, "Kiara"

He sucked his teeth and dragged me to a corner
"Why are you following me?" He asked defiantly

"Are you okay?" I asked in a concerned voice

"Why won't I?" He scoffed

"Ayush. I am serious" I said in a sharp tone.

"I thought we don't talk anymore. Kiara, since the day of the trip, you've avoided me and I don't think we are even acquaintances. You are the sweetest and humble girl I've ever met. You are flawless Kiara. What has happened to us?" His voice turned sour. "Kiara, your feelings for me won't change my love. Do you love me?"

My breath almost got hitched. My mind fizzed from inside.
"I...I loved you Ayush. I am not in love with you. You are right, we are not even acquaintances. It's better to stay as we are. What happened between us, should stay between us" My eyes were filled with tears

"Kiara" He held my hand. "We can't be over like this. Do you love Neil?"

"Ayush. To end something we should have something and there was nothing between us except some cordial and platonic feelings"
I jerked my hands away and went out of the music festival. I scurried to the hotel and went back to my room.
