CHAPTER TWELVE ✨

"I am sorry Kiara for last night. I was a bit angry and I can't tolerate anyone who insults you..I hope you understand" Neil politely replied.

"Ya...ya. Friendship effect. It was a reflex action. It's okay Neil" Kiara said with a cynical smile.

"Kiara, Did you forgive me?" Neil grimaced.

"I am sorry... What?" She said
"Whatever happened in the past between us. Did you forgive me?"

Kiara chuckled. "I should ask the same question to you. Did you forgive me? You know, the amount of pain I had, couldn't be forgave. I was guilty in your eyes. So did you forgive me, Neil?"

"Kiara. It was a mere misunderstanding, It was my fault that I didn't trust you  and I blamed you indirectly. Sorry, Kiara"

"I didn't kill your sister, I killed that man who killed your sister, and Karma rule: That man had to die someday, but the universe wanted me to kill him" Kiara stated

"Why are you talking philosophically?"

"Ah..Just like that. We became enemies by situation and friends by chance. It was Ayush who confronted you, and you so easily agreed with him. Ayush is really a nice person" Kiara said wondering.

Neil turned his face away as he somehow wanted to avoid the topic.

"I confided him, we became good friends. We studied together, made fun of each other like good friends" Kiara crept a smile on her lips.
" And I don't know when I fell for him. Roshni was right, A girl and a boy can never be friends. " Kiara sighed
"I went to the fair with him with a motive, I'll speak my heart out to him. My bad fate, I lost my first love"

Neil placed his palm on Kiara's hand.
"Kiara. No stress, We are good friends now and you can confide with me"

Kiara fixed a gaze at him.
"Thank you Neil. I never expected in my life, I'll be friend with you, The Neil Mehra. Yes, we are good friends" Kiara smiled .

Ayush was sitting near a corner of the cafe watching both of them. After realising Kiara's feelings for him, he wanted to apologise to her.
And after a bad breakup with Riya, maybe his feelings for Kiara has been evolving more than friendship.

Kiara was studying in the library alone. Ayush paced and sat next to her
Kiara glared at him and then looked at her book.
"Sorry Kiara. I shouldn't have talk to you. It's the anger and the situation was out of control. I...."
"It's okay Ayush. I forgave you" She replied and glanced at the book.

"Can we be friends?" Ayush said.
Kiara kept the book aside and glared at him.
"Friends. I may use and throw you"

"Kiara, I said in anger and I never think about you like this. I had bad breakup with Riya and you..you were avoiding me. I needed you the most. Sensitive things and...I vent out my anger and frustration on you"

"Yes, I avoided you because..because..." Kiara was out of words
"Because What?"
"Nevermind. I have my next class" Kiara stood up and left the library.
