Lauren's POV

We've been informed that Y/N is currently in the hospital for the debriefing. I don't know why is it held in a hospital and it's supposed to be inside the psychology department wherein Nike Hajjad, our psychologist would be in charge of her sessions.

I'm back at the HQ when I was called upon by Capt. Taylor. Any reason to deny his request was declined. Ugh. I hate being called or summoned because it always feels like I did something wrong. Presumably.

I walked into his office and looked directly to his austere old face.

"What am I here for, Sir?",

"Hold your horses, Jauregui. Sit down."

As I was able to settle my ass on the rock hard couch, he spoke.

"I need you to do me a favor."

I can feel my throat tightened at his words, he continued.

"I have a meeting with the district attorney today and I can't go due to personal reasons, I want you to be my locum tenens."

"That term is mostly used in the medical field but that'll do. I understand."

I still do have a lot of questions to ask but I'm letting it pass just because I am too tired to debate over things.

Well, he's the boss so I have to obey.  I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I do ask one question.

"In what hospital was our supervisor being observed? I'm sure she won't mind if we give her a visit."

"Jauregui, your orders were already discussed, her issues are not under yours to partake with so move along.", he said clearly giving me the idea that I should stay out of his business.

But why? In the hierarchy of authority, my supervisor should also be informed about my doings.
If he won't give me the location, fine then, being a former doctor has its perks. I sent a message to the doctors' association asking if they were able to admit a patient in their psychology department that is currently a law enforcement officer. They were able to give me some locations and I was able to examine the hospital records in the entire city down to the second to the last one. The farthest one from the capital, that hospital is the largest but the oldest among all of the hospital structures in the city.

It took me an hour to get there, I just hope I am the right place to look. I should've brought something for her, I'm such an idiot.

Well I hope your presence makes her feel a little better. Whatever.

Grace's POV

I was notified that Y/N was transported from the scene to the hospital near the borders, everything happened under the dusk sky, and I have no idea why wasn't she texting me about it. Thankfully, my associates did.

Sebastian is doing a little great since the last time, still kinda paranoid about things but my baby brother is fine. I'm on my way now to see Y/N, she must have a very good reason why she's not texting me and making me all worried.

I would've grab her something but anyway, I'm going to head there right now, just to be sure I brought my handgun with me incase of emergency, you never know what might happen if you are in a border.

Third Person POV

The brunette and the red-hair were both on their way to visit Y/N. Both hoping and worrying how is she doing.

The latter arrived first in the hospital. Grace rushed inside the information desk to ask for Y/N's room number but the attendant won't give it to her.
