Why do I have to sleep? My mom knows I am afraid to go to sleep. The monsters are going to kill me.
She says: "Monsters don't exist Skylar! Go to bed!"

If they don't exist then why did I saw one yesterday? I am sure they are real. She says that she is going to sleep with me if I am afraid. I am six mom! I don't need her to sleep with me!

Oh yea, I forgot to introduce myself! I am Skylar Bell aka the girl who can see monsters. I know, I have a long nickname. But this is how the kids at school call me.

Anyway now I have to go to bed. I hate going to bed! I am scared the boogeyman is going to kill me. Mom says that he doesn't exist, but I know he does.

I got in my bed. It's so dark. My mom didn't let me use my night light. She says I am too old for it. I say otherwise.

"Good night! I love you!" my mom said.

"I love you too!" I told my mom as she closed the door.

Now I am alone in my room with all my toys. They are scary at night. My heart is beating so fast. I am scared.

I heard a crack. The monsters are coming. I think they are under my bed. If I die now, tell my parents I love them. There is fog coming from under my bed and from the wardrobe. All my toys are looking at me. They have black eyes. Somebody is opening my wardrobe.

"Hello, Skylar Bell" a voice said. "I was wondering when I would meet you. I supposed you know who I am. Right?"

"I-I don't k-know who you a-are." I said looking at my wardrobe. Then I realized. "You are the b-boogeyman."

"That is right my child. I AM THE BOOGEYMAN!" the monster said.

My mouth dropped. I heard footsteps.

"Skylar? Are you talking?"  it was my mom. My mom was coming.

The boogeyman disappeared. I survived. Thank you mom!
