My mom came home after two hours. She was carrying a lot of bags. I wanted to ask her about Liz's brother.

We sat at the dining table and began to eat. It was just the two of us. My dad went to another city because of his job. It's not a big deal, he will be gone just for the weekend. Usually he is gone for two weeks.

"Mom, do you know about Liz Lerue?" my mom looked at me for a few seconds. Maybe I wasn't supposed to know her.

"Yes, she...she is a year younger than you. Why do you ask?" she is clearly hiding something from me.

"What happened to her brother?" I asked. She got mad.

"Go to your room right now, young lady! And the Grand Guignol doesn't exist if this is what you wanted to ask me next!" I rushed to my room as fast as possible. I have never seen my mom so angry before.

Here I am, alone in my room, the Grand Guignol can come anytime now and I am not prepared. If I fall asleep before he comes, maybe he is not going to take me. I changed in my pijamas as went to bed. It's 8 p.m. Kind of early for me to go to sleep, but whatever. I can see fog coming from my wardrobe. I close my eyes and pretend to be asleep. I can hear the door opening, but I am too afraid to open my eyes.

The next thing I see after opening my eyes is my room. I change and after I went downstairs. My mom was making breakfast.

"Good morning, sweetheart! I'm sorry for last night. Do you want waffles?" I look at her confused.

"No, thanks! I'll just go to school." I need to see Liz. I put my shoes on and go to the mall.

I enter in the shop with the nice lady. She smiles and leads me to the secret door. I enter in the colourful room with the book in the middle of it. There was nobody in the room. After a few seconds Liz came in the room.

"What are you doing here?" she said. She looks tired.

"Uh....I think the Grand Guignol came to my room last night. I saw fog and closed my eyes. Then I felt asleep." I said. Liz looked confused at me.

"It was not the Grand Guignol. I think it was a creature or something. They usually leave  if you sleep." I look at the book. I really want to see what is in it. Liz sees at what I am looking and goes to the book. "This is the guide about all the bad people or things that can happen while you are babysitting a child." I wonder if the boogeyman or the Grand Guignol are in there. They probably are. "And don't worry. The Grand Guignol is not coming back. He tries to take the kid just one time and then he leaves forever. But don't go after him!"

"Do you know where he lives?" I asked. I already know the answer, but I don't think I will tell Liz.

"No, of course not! If I knew I would have gone there and killed him a long time ago!" said Liz angrily. I may or may not annoyed her. I understand her. She misses her brother. I would miss my brother too if that would happened to me. "Do you know where he lives?" she asked me.

"No! Why would you ask that?" my cheeks were red. Not very red, but red. This usually happens when I lie. She looked at me suspicious.

"Ok well then thank you for coming, goodbye!" she pushed me out of the room and closed the door behind her. Rude!
