In Love With The Grand Guignol

Two Days Before Halloween

I am busy all day. I need to practice with the toadies, to learn how to use the necklace and to do homework. The Grand Guignol is doing my math homework, he is really good at math, chemistry and physics.

The toadies are practicing how to open the big tubes that are going to be filled with nightmares. I should practice with them, but I really need to do my homework.

Liz kept messaging me. I haven't been to the base since the Grand Guignol made me ask Liz what she is doing for Halloween, I don't think I'll ever go there again.

"Did you finish your english homework?" the Grand Guignol asked me.

"I have a six page long essay. Do you think I finished it?" I said. My head hurts.

"Well what's the essay about? Maybe I can help."

"It's about family traditions for Halloween. The problem is that my family never had traditions for Halloween." I looked at him. He was thinking.

"Well for my family Halloween was like Christmas, but without the presents and snow."he  said.

"My parents wouldn't let me do anything for Halloween. I went last year at a party."

"Let me help you." the Grand Guignol said. I am not sure if it's a good idea, but I don't say anything.

***The Grand Guignol's POV***
While I tell Sky what I used to do with my family on Halloween night I almost start crying. I remember all the good memories with my father. I remember him teaching me how to be good to people. He was the total opposite of my sister, she is cold and always mean, especially to me.

I sit there, numb, reading what Sky wrote on the paper. She wrote what I did, what me and my father did. Even though he was the boogeyman he was a great dad.

"Are you ok?" Sky asked.

I smile and say "Yes, I'm fine..." she put her head on my shoulder.

"I think he misses you too." she said. I think he doesn't, not after he saw what I am, a man that steals nightmares from kids. I know he never wanted me to be like him.

"Are we done with the essay?" I asked.

"Yes."

I get up and leave. I go in the nightmare nursery and burst into tears. I didn't want Sky to see me like this. She always cries when I do, I cried once in front of her. I look around the room, the walls are blue like Sky's eyes. I don't cry because of my father, I am scared of the Halloween night. I am scared that Liz will come and do something to me and that she will take Sky with her. I can't lose her too, I love her too much.

***Skylar's POV***
I don't know where the Grand Guignol went. I looked for him everywhere and I couldn't find him.

I finally find him after half an hour, he is training with the toadies.

"Sky! You are here! Come on, I have to show you something." he comes to me and takes my hand. "I need your ring." he said. I gave it to him.

"Why?" I asked.

"It's a surprise!"
