Keep me there
Where stars are bright,
Where the wind is fierce,
And lightning strikes.
Keep me somewhere
Where exists not time
Where the blackbird sings,
And spreads its wings in hopeful flight.
Keep me there
Where no tears are shed;
Of all the lost love,
And all the lost lives.
Keep me if you can
In the heart, not the mind,
For when our footprints fade from this soil,
Our souls gain freedom in a timeless void.
