(I was vibing to Splash Free soooo hard while writing this chapter)
Y\N pov:
I was looking up at the fluffy white clouds in the sky with my head rested on Makoto's lap (Not in a romantic way...Yet). They were talking about how come Rin was so different. I didn't really care but listened anyway, "I don't know, dream?" Haru suggested, "No it really happened!" Makoto said, "Eh, maybe, but it doesn't make sense. Rin never used to act like that." Nagisa said crossing his arms, "Look alike?" I suggested.
"That cloud looks like a duck." I said pointing to the cloud. Nagisa looked up, "It does!" He exclaimed looking at the duck shaped cloud. I laughed slightly, "A look alike who happens to know who we, are and challenge Haru to a race?" Makoto pointed out. Haru rolled onto his side, his back facing us.
"Fine ghost?" Haru suggested again. I thought about it, Nagisa did say the place was haunted, "He looked solid to me." Nagisa said bringing his knees to his chest. I sat up, "Did any of us make any physical contact Rin ?" I asked, "No." Haru, Nagisa and Makoto answered in sync. I laid back down onto Makoto's lap, "Damn, now we'll never know." I said closing my eyes.
I heard Makoto sigh, "Any last suggestions?" He asked, "Okay, an evil doppelgänger," Haru said. I could hear is social battery was dead, "Oh like in the old days." Makoto said getting excited, "It's a game we played as kids. 'Super fusion doppelgänger' !" He said and I felt him shift. I wasn't sure why but I smiled at hearing him so happy and excited, probably nothing. I just like my friends being happy.
Narrator pov:
As Makoto showed the four of them what the game is he was referring to, Gou was watching them from afar, "So I take it you know who those bunch of weirdos ?" Her friend asked her. Gou nodded, "Haru Nanase, Makoto Tachibana and Nagisa Hazuki, plus Y/N Nanase but she just moved back from New York." Gou answered, " The all used to be apart of the same swim club when they were little kids. It closed down recently, but they're still bound together by their girlish sounding names." Gou finished.
"Why would you know who they are?" Her friend whispered in her ear, "It's a secret (Gou be having trust issues)." Gou answered, "Yeah, but you kinda do have something in common with them." Her friend pointed out. Gou groaned in annoyance, "Because I mena you're a girl with a boys name." Her friend stated. Gou grunted.
"I wouldn't be if people stopped calling me Gou!"
