Chapter 2 - Truth or Dare

By the time Claire got here I had already got out some snacks and put them on the bar in the living room-like area of the basement.

She had a backpack full of who-knows-what on her back and was approching me with a scary grin on her face.

"Hey Ness." She said when she got to me and sat on a bar stool.

The bar wasn't really used as a bar unless Aunt May was here and she had friends over. Any alcohol there was, was locked in a cabinet upstairs.

"Hello Clairabelle." I greeted sitting next to her looking at he backpack. It was pink and had spikes on it like a turtle shell.

"Don't you dare start calling me that." She was challenging me to call her by her full name again. Challenge accepted.

"Oh, by the way, CLAIRABELLE, what's in your backpack?" I asked

"You'll find out soon enough." She practically growled at me. I didn't like the sound of that.

"Okaayyyy..." I said trailing the 'a' sound.

"Hey guys." Seth said when he got in the room with Trey standing beside him.

Trey was a bit taller than Seth. A little darker skinned than Seth, but not by much. He had a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off, which made it hard to not stare at his muscles.

When he saw me staring at him, he gave me a smug grin and sat on the bar stool beside me.

"Hello ladies." He said in a too seductive voice.

I rolled my eyes and said, "Hello Trey. Long time no see."

"Yes and what a bummer that time has been." He said seeming to stare into my soul.

"What do you mean 'long time no see' you guys have, like, all the same classes." Claire said

"Well you see, Claire, he's usually over here all the time, but he hasn't been lately." I told her.

Seth came and sat on the bar stool next to Trey and said, "So, what's everyone been up to?"

That earned various forms of "not much".

"What do you guys want to do? Im getting bored." I told all of them yawning.

"We should play Truth or Dare!" Claire said excitedly.

"Can I invite Jenn?" Seth asked probably feeling lonely.

"NO!!" All three of us yelled at him. It's not that I have anything against Jennifer, she's just kind of a buzz kill.

"Why not?" Seth asked pouting like a little kid, even though he was older than me.

"Because she's a buzz kill." Trey said the thing we were all thinking and me and Claire nodded in agreement.

"Fact." Claire stated after Trey.

"Ugh, fine." Seth groaned.

"Now lets play." I said getting excited.

The way we play Truth or Dare is different than most people play it, but you'll figure that out later.

We all moved to the seating area. I sat on the couch next to Trey and he quickly pulled my on to his lap. I raised my eyebrow at him and he just shrugged.

I was well aware of the crush he had on me. I looked across from us to see Seth and Claire on the couch infront of us and Claire was wiggling her eyebrows at me suggestively. I just rolled my eyes at her.

"You have the stuff?" I asked her looking at her backpack.

"Sure do." She replied cheerfully reaching into her backpack and pulling out her phone, which then transformed into her wand.

Oh, I didn't mention that Claire was a witch? Oops. Now you know. And while I'm at it Saige, Claire's twin, is also a witch. A majority of the town I live in is werewolves- including Trey.

They belonged to a pack called Lunar Eclipse. Trey happened to be the third in command and hasn't turned 16 yet, so he hasn't found a mate yet.

I may or may not be hoping it's me.

You know Derek? I mentioned him earlier and he's a rouge who stays in town.

He was dating Saige for awhile until today. Derek was 15 too.

Why do I know all of this? Because Aunt May is a witch too. You might also be wondering where she is. Well she's at a meeting with some "important" people.

"Ness!" Trey yelling directly into my ear brought me out of my thoughts.

"Ow! Damn you people are going to make me deaf one day." I said glaring at Trey.

"Well we're starting, so pay attention." Claire said getting giddy.

Claire then scanned all of our thumbs with her wand and the game started.

The wand started hovering in the air and spun. It landed on Seth then spun again and landed on Claire.

"Truth or Dare?" Seth asked Claire.

"Dare." Claire said sounding determined.

Seth then took the wand and pointed it at Claire.

"In school next week sing A Whole New World at the top of your lungs." He stated looking devious.

"EASY!" Claire shouted.

She'll do it. The wand said.

I laughed thinking about Claire doing it. No doubt about it. She would definately do it.

Claire then took the wand and spun it. It landed on Trey and Claire took the wand again.

"Truth or Dare?" Claire asked.

"Um... truth."Trey said.

"LAME." Me and Seth said at the same time both snickering.

Trey growled at us. It just made me laugh harder though.

"Okay. Do you like Ness?" Claire asked

Her question immidiately shut me up and I could see the blush on Trey's cheeks.

"Answer or the wand will answer for you." Claire stated raising her eyebrow.

"Yes." He said in a whisper, but I could hear him perfectly.

That is the truth.

"I KNEW IT!" Claire squealed, bursting my eardrums... AGAIN.

I suddenly felt super awkward sitting how I was. I felt my cheeks warm up and I sat up straighter.

I had already known, but him saying it outloud gave me a new realization.

I liked him too. A lot.

And that's when Claire's wand started spinning and pretty much creating a tornado.
