Introduction

My parents disappeared when I was 11 months old. I don't remember them. Sometimes I have dreams about what they would be like. I can only view them from the pictures and storys my aunt, May Silver, tells me. Everytime she talks about them she gets a distant look in her eyes and usually changes the topic. I can tell they are really loving people. Probably would've been great parents.

After they disappeared my aunt took me in. I've lived with her and her son, Seth Silver, ever since.

My name is Vanessa Rivers. It would have been 'Silver' but my mom got married to my dad and his last name was 'Rivers', so there isn't much I can do.

My aunt, Seth and I live in a small town called Crystalsprings. I would imagine it's named this because the lakes and rivers that are crystal clear. Here in Crystalsprings we live in a three story house plus a basement. In this house I occupy the whole basement.

When you think of basement you probably think of dark and cold, but I think of cozy and mine. This is because in the basement Aunt May installed A/C and heat. I had a huge bedroom and bathroom for myself. My bedroom is painted pastel purple and has some black details on it that I painted myself. I have a black egg chair in the corner and bookshelves around it. I love to read there when I have time.

Most of the time, though, I spend in my computer room. I love my computer. Me and Seth put it together with custom parts we found and made better. It never lags, so you could imagine all the games I play on it. Seth has a matching one in his room. We managed to make it work with all types of games for all gaming consoles, so we play games with eachother sometimes.

Seth.

Seth is more complicated than you would think someone like him is. He's tall, tan and has pale brown hair like his mom. He's what you would consider a 'jock', but he defies the stereotype. He's actually very smart, in all AP classes, like me. The one part of that stereotype that he lives up to is the part where he has the hottest girl in school as a girlfriend.

The captain of the cheer squad, Jennifer Deft. Unlike Seth, Jennifer lives to fulfill her quest to live the stereotype of 'cheer squad captain'. She's what you would describe as 'PERFECT'. She's tall blonde, skinny (not to the point of sickly skinny) and popular. The only thing that sticks out is that she's also very smart (unlike some of the other cheerleaders).

I'm sure you're wondering what I look like by now. Well, I have tan skin just like Aunt May and Seth, I'm tall, skinny (with a figure), hazel eyes that look either light brown or a rich emerald green in the sunlight and light brown hair with natural blonde streaks (Aunt May says it's from the sun).
