十一 ; determination

Airi's eyes travelled towards the seats where her Class 1-A sat, the unsettling feeling in her stromach growing. She searched for the one and only bi coloured haired boy, but he was nowhere to be found.

Where could Shoto be?

The final round for the Sports Festival was coming up, and it was currently the 15 minutes break before it would start. The next and final round was what people called the most anticipated one, since the competitors were no other than the strongest students in Class 1-A, Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugou.

Glancing at the last seat, she could see the blonde spikey haired guy resting both of his elbows on his knees, his gaze down. Despite naturally possessing a huge amount of confidence, Airi knew the pressure Bakugou was feeling was something only he knew of. Even Kirishima dared not to speak with him, only looking forward to the arena which was currently being cleaned by the workers.

Airi brushed those thoughts away, Where was Shoto? I needed to speak with him.

Following her instincts, she walked down the stairs to the hallways. The area under the stadium was seemingly quiet, empty without any students roaming around. Most of them were probably in the cafeteria, eating before the final round starts.

As she took her turn to the left, she could finally breathe normally as her eyes met the figure of the boy she was searching for. Shoto was leaning his body against the wall, his hands both in the pockets of his tracksuits. Airi slowly walked towards him, trying to not disturb him. She slightly regretted on actually approaching him at this moment since he looked like he needed some alone time.

Halfway walking towards him, Airi stopped abruptly. She clenched both of her fists, contemplating whether she should approach him or not. Luckily Shoto didnt notice her since he was closing his eyes, his chest heaved heavily with each breath he exhaled.

Deciding that it was a better choice to leave him alone, Airi took a step backwards.

He probably wants to be alone.

She turned around, and even though she knew it was a better choice, she couldn't help but to feel how her heart sank at the thought of how she couldn't meet him before the finals. Or even wish him a proper goodluck.

"Airi?"

Airi stopped walking. Her eyes slightly widened as she gulped. Turning slowly to the back, she saw how Shoto was now facing towards her, his back still leaning against the wall.

"O-Oh... Hey Shoto.", Airi stuttered out, embarrassed at how she was caught so easily by the boy. "I thought I wanted to drop by and just um-"

Airi quickly walked towards Shoto again, stopping a few steps before him. Shoto's face was painted with confusion, however he continued to stare at the adorable girl, how her ponytails bounced at every quick step she took. Shoto had to bite back the smile from forming on his lips. How was it that even in the most nerve wrecking times, this girl in front of him would never fail to cheer him up?

Airi shot him a grin, before lifting her right arm while clenching her fist,

"Good luck, Shoto. You probably dont even need any luck, but, yeah."

Airi pursed her lips. She cringed at her own sentence. God, how can your wish be so simple for someone like him?

Realising the sudden silence, and how Shoto's face wasn't even changing at all, she decided that he actually really needed some alone time.
