六 ; Self Control (Part 2)

After the whole commotion finally came to an end, all of the students came back into their dorms. Iida told Bakugou and Shoto to clean up the mess they have done, and even though it was a pain in the ass for Katsuki Bakugou to listen to his orders, he reluctantly agreed, considering the fact he had hurt his own classmate. Shoto too admitted he was wrong for acting because of his own anger, and Iida forgave the both of them while adding the advice to not repeat the same mistake again. Despite lacking hero experiences, all of them knew the  peak of a hero's job is to never keep any type of grudges towards anyone or any villains.

Shoto continued to collect the leaves quickly, anxiousness filling in his heart as time passes. No, he wasn't tired or anything, but he was really worried of his own bestfriend who recently got attacked in his fight with Bakugou. At this second, he really wanted to leave the remaining chores to the blonde one since he was the main reason why they fought in the first place. But he knew if he started to argue about this useless topic it would be worthless since Bakugou would just a start a fight all over again.

Shoto wiped the sweat dripping off from his forehead with the hem of his shirt, after finally collecting the last pieces of the leaves. He quickly tied up the black plastic bag which he used to throw away the dead and burnt leaves (which were once alive but since Bakugou almost exploded everything...) and raced to the dumping ground to dispose all of them. Bakugou called out his name, probably confused to why he was in a rush.

Shoto ignored the boy's faint voice that was calling for him and raced towards the living room. Momo was preparing tea, and beside her on the kitchen tabletop there was a large bowl filled with water and a folded clean white towel beside it. Shoto guessed it was for Airi, and just when he wanted to inquire about it, Momo said,

"She doesn't want to see you, Shoto."

Shoto's eyebrows furrowed at her sentence. "What? Why not?"

Momo sighed, stirring the green tea gently. The aroma of the tea slowly filled in his nostrils, and he was immediately reminded of Airi since she loves this specific tea so much.

"Figure it out yourself.", Momo responded. She placed the cup on a small plate and grabbed the bowl with her other hands, draping the towel over her shoulder. When she saw Shoto's face drop in dissapointment, she gave him a reassuring glance.

"Try seeing her in a few hours. She'll be better by then. In the meantime, try to reflect on your mistakes today."

A few hours went by, and Shoto was mindlessly walking back and forth in his room, his hands shoved in the pockets of his sweatpants. He was nervously muttering words under his breath, figuring out how to apologise to her later. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he heard a knock on the door.

He walked towards his door and opened it, a pang of dissapointment was felt when he saw it wasn't Airi.

"I think you can see her now.", Momo said, and Shoto saw in her hands were the same bowl as before but with less water and the previous dry towel was inside the bowl aswell.

Shoto pursed his lips, nodding. "Thanks, Momo. I'll go see her now."

Shoto grabbed his jacket, swiftly wearing it and exited the door. Just when he wanted to walk away, Momo grabbed his arm. Shoto stopped in his movements, and looked behind in confusion.

Momo gave him a hesitant look. "Be careful with your words. You might not know what could hurt her feelings."

Shoto felt like a brick had just slammed right onto his face after she said that. Momo gave him a soft smile, before she too walked away, leaving him in his train of thoughts. Damn, did Airi said anything about him while the girls were taking care of her? He didn't mind if she did talk bad about him, he wasn't that great of a friend anyway. But he really did mind if it affected their friendship.
