This chapter takes place after chapter 27 so we're back on track again! Enjoy!
Virgil's POV
After talking over the plans for the auditions and getting feedback from both Logan and Patton, Roman and I decided to call it a night. He waved as I turned to walk to my room and I casually threw him a wave behind me. When I heard his door close, I let my shoulders loosen up. I wasn't sure what to think about all of that. He was feeling anxious. But now, I think, he was feeling fine. The only anxiety I could feel was my own. For now. I couldn't help but keep thinking about it as I made way to my own room. As I plugged in some headphones and put on MCR. Or as I plopped down onto my bed and stared at my ceiling for an unknown amount of time.
One week until the auditions. We've come up with a solid plan in only a few hours. We have a whole week to practice and tweak the plan. Sure, it's going to be restless but I can keep Thomas on task... So why? Why do I still feel so anxious?
Thomas' POV
A few days until the auditions! We've been tweaking and practicing nonstop. Virgil has kept me on task but he's been a little zoned out recently. I wonder what's up... Poor guy. Probably just nervous!
Roman's POV
Everything is going according to plan! Just 4 more days until the auditions and I'm feeling pretty good with everything! Wow... Virgil worked some miracles... I went from feeling as down as I would by being defeated the Dragon Witch (Which would never happen by the way, I'm undefeatable) to feeling the usually 100's of ideas whizzing through me. Not a bit of anxiety is left! I feel as good as new!
Logan's POV
Virgil is keeping Thomas on task. Patton is keeping his morale and motivation up. Roman is working his brain unlike what I'd expect him to. I'm keeping him right on schedule and Remy is giving him the correct amount of sleep with the help of Virgil. Everything is going accordingly and I am pleasantly surprised. Everything seemed so out of sorts a few days ago but now, with only 2 days left until the auditions, I'm happy to report, everything is nearly perfect. One flaw stands out, to me, however...
Virgil has been acting... odd.
Remy
I have this amazing feeling. I have no idea what it is. Just... after being told that Roman almost confessed a few weeks ago and everyone just on top of things lately. I don't know the mix of all this knowledge is overwhelmingly positive as of recent. It's almost keeping me awake for more than 8 hours a day. I'm so fucking PSYCHED.
Patton's POV
Is it just me or has Virgil been acting weird? Hmmm... perhaps it's my dad senses kicking in! My son needs me!
I walked up to his room after the meeting we had with each other, basically summing up what we needed to do at tomorrow's audition, and knocked on the door in a series like normal. He didn't open the door very quickly. Probably because he hadn't expected guests so quickly! That's fine. When he did open the door. He raised an eyebrow and smirked in amusement.
"What's up, Patton?" he asked, watching my face as it switched between about 10 different emotions at once.
"Are you okay, Virgil?" Virgil tilted his head at my question. A curious look crossed his face before he leaned in. I backed up and watched as he checked either side of the hall for anyone else before beckoning me to follow him into the room. My interest and worry piqued as he led me to his bed and sighed, plopping down into the black sheets. It caved in only slightly as he fell onto it and I carefully sat next to him, watching his every movement carefully.
