"Dad... Once again, this is Bokuto."

"My Boyfriend."

Your dad looked at Bokuto with a shock look on his face. Unable to answer back from what his daughter just said.

You took a sigh before saying something again, "I realized that, I would probably die if I didn't say yes to him."

You cringed internally by what you just said and in your head you were cursing your self again and again. On the other hand, Bokuto looks extremely happy with that sentence, making him wrap his arm around you to grab you from the shoulders, pulling you closer to him.

"Dad!" He tried calling your dad again, but unlike last time. Your dad gave both of you a smile before saying something you never expected.

"As long as he makes you happy."

It's now the next day and here you are laying on your bed, while on the phone with Akaashi.

"I'm dating Bokuto. Akaashi, can you remind me again...What on Earth made my goddamn mind bring myself into this"

["You said yes. Also sorry, it was me who started it during the game."]

Without you knowing, Bokuto was also on the other line listening to your conversation after asking Akaashi to put his phone on speaker as soon as he told him it was you.

["but just go with it for now besides if Bokuto-san and Yukie-san got back together. You'd accomplished one good deed."]

"Haha funny."

["y/n for now, you must tell yourself to not fall in love with Bokuto-san"]

"Well.. that's not that hard to do. Plus didn't I told you before? I already have someone else I liked"

["WHAT?!"] Bokuto screamed, grabbing the phone from Akaashi's hand.

You were surprised after hearing his voice, and embarrassed by the fact that Bokuto had been listening to you and Akaashi the whole time. 'Why did Akaashi let him!' you thought.

["IF YOU ALREADY HAVE SOMEONE ELSE YOU LIKE THEN WHY DID YOU SAY YES?"]

Bokuto screamed on the other line, making you pull the phone away from you ears.

"I didn't have a choice."

["Huh?? Yes you do! I told you if you didn't want to-"]

"No I didn't. If I said no then I'd probably get bullied for rejecting someone like you."

"Do you not know how popular you are?? Plus the peer pressure was intense, and speaking of, it would be more humiliating for you at that moment than it would have been for me if I rejected you on the spot with so many people watching."

["Do you regret it then? If you're not up for it yet then I'll just act like you said no as usual"] Bokuto said, sounding a bit disappointed.

"No...I already agreed, so I'll do it. I'll help you like I promised"

["Okay then!! I would also like to make a promise! I promise that you'd atleast have fun with this fake-relationship and I'd be the best boyfriend there is!"]

You took a deep sigh before saying something again.

"Ahh.. my first boyfriend only got with me to use me as a tool to get someone else he actually loved." You joked

["HEY! don't say it like that!! AND WHAT?! First boyfriend?!?"]

"Yep. Hi I'm y/n, 17 and I've never had a boyfriend my whole life. Saaaaad"

(Sorry if that's not your age, I had to put it as that since you're literally in the same class as Akaashi)

["Then what about that guy you like??"]

"He... never found out I liked him and I kinda... accidentally ghosted him"

["y/n... You don't "accidentally" ghost someone."]

"In my situation, I DID. So basically, he was my neighbor and a childhood friend.. till I had to move suddenly during middle school. I'm only gonna say this now so listen."

"I was homeschooled in elementary, I met him since my first day in Miyagi, after his parents and my dad introduced us together."

"He then became my first friend.. and my bestfriend since we were 8, after he came from school, he'd always go straight to my house to hangout and tell me every single detail that happened in school"

"Of course I got jealous but lucky for us, after my dad found out. He promised me that after elementary, he'd finally let me go to an actual school."

"It was nice..but he then started to become busy after joining the volleyball club."

"We didn't drift apart but we weren't always together anymore like how we used to be... Then during the tournament, something came up that made us have to move."

"Well for my case, I had to leave the day that my parents decided on that. It was on a day, when he had a game... I couldn't really do anything since leaving at that time was the only choice I had and I knew it was for my own good...I told my parents to atleast say goodbye for me or ask for his number but when my parents got back to me from getting our stuff in our old house, they said that his family was not home and the neighbor said that they left to go visit his grandpa"

["Wait Miyagi? And since you were 8? Then when did you started to like him? Why did you not try to visit him after atleast? why were you even homeschooled? AND WHY DID YOU HAD TO MOVE SO SUDDENLY??"]Bokuto bombarded you with questions one after another.

You took another sigh before answering some of his questions.

"Kinda pathetic.. but I've probably liked him since the first year we've known each other. I did tried to visit him, but then he wasn't there anymore, he moved houses. I was homeschooled because I don't know.. I was shy? and lastly, I moved because... my grandparents needed to be hospitalized at the moment and my parents thought that Tokyo hospitals are better so yeah. Now we're here."

["Do you miss him?"]

"Of course. Honestly I miss him every single day." I said in a low tone, as I started to sound sad.

'y/n don't be sad! Is there anything I can do? Tell me I'll do it. anything'

You chuckled by his reaction and thought for a second before giving him an answer.

"Why not just come up with something we can do to make your ex jealous for now so I don't have to spend my time thinking on it next time?"

["What? Why do I have to do it alo-"]

Just then, you heard a knock on your door before your dad came in.

"Are you ready? We have to leave now to make it there on time." He said, standing next to your door with a smile on his face like always.

"Ah yes dad! Here let me just grab my stuff."

"Bo, Akaashi, I actually gotta go now! Make sure to come up with something by Monday!" You said goodbye on the phone before ending the call and leaving the room with your dad who waited for you.

'Today's appointment was a little late than usual.. then it would be a short one!'
