POV: Natilie
"No I don't fucking know who." I snapped at the detective. "Ask the fucker I punched. I'm sure he knows."
"He said he doesn't know. He was offered the job from his dad who apparently is a gang leader. He was going to keep whatever the profits were for himself." The detective didn't falter despite me snapping.
"Great, so now I have a psycho and a gang to worry about. No leads either. Great." I punched the wall and felt pain surge up my arm. "Why am I punching things now?" I groaned and shook my hand a bit till the pain simmered down.
"We're going to do what we can." The detective spoke in a monotone voice.
"Find the fucker's dad and ask that guy. If you don't do it I'll have someone do it. Matter of a fact, don't do it. I'll take care of it and let you know." I walked away with that and went straight to my brother.
"Hey Nat," Mike gave me a worried smile. It's going to eat him alive.
"You know what gang he belonged to. You saw the tattoo that was on his neck, yeah?" I cut straight to the chase.
"Yeah, it's one of the bigger ones in the United States, but they mostly dwell in Florida. Orlando or Miami are their hotspots." Mike nodded his head.
"So it's more than likely someone from Florida with money. They have to have some kind of personal connection with Lauren or me, or our groups and Emilio is one person who would rip us all to shreds if he were to disappear. I'd go crazy without my son. I'd die." I shook the thought away. He's safe Natilie. Mike is a tank. He is an ex homicide detective.
"Yeah, but if they're going for a kid it's either a woman or a man with kids of his own that would know the feeling. A man without kids wouldn't know. They'd go for one of you." He put his input in.
"You have connections." I gave him a look.
"I do." He nodded his head and cut up the apple in his hands and ate slices off of the knife. "Whatcha need?"
"I need one of them to find the leader of that gang and kidnap them and question him. If they won't question him I will. I will pay a lot of money for this man to be kidnapped." I paced back and forth. "I'll kill him myself if he doesn't speak."
Dinah and Normani looked at me with wide eyes.
"It's a leader. Of a gang. A strong gang. And you want him kidnapped by an average thug. You crazy?" Mike raised his eyebrows and ate another piece of his apple that was annoying me by how loud he was chewing.
"Oh please, you know more than average thugs. You know leaders." I rolled my eyes.
"I know one leader that might be strong enough to get the job done. If I were to call upon him he'd do it in a heartbeat because I had the lawyers work a good plea deal with him because he cooperated so well, but it'd cause a gang war and a lot of people would die. A lot."
"Does it look like I care if someone dies?" I snapped at my brother.
"No, and that's worrying me."
"If it was your son you'd be tearing every wall in Miami and Orlando till you found the fucker and would kill anyone in the way."
Mike took a deep breath. "Who is to say he'll talk? Some guys can keep it together no matter what you do. I've walked in on one where the guy still wouldn't talk even after losing a foot. An entire foot and he kept his mouth shut."
"Oh he'll talk. I'll get him to talk. That's not a question." I chuckled. "Have someone find him. If they can't get him themselves have them let the police know. Either way I want an answer. Go for his fucking wife and kids if he wants to play the kid game." I paused when I realized what I had said. "Jesus fuck what's wrong with me?"
"Natilie, hun, come sit down. You're really stressed and it's still fresh. Emilio is okay. He is with us. There are ten adults watching him that would all die for him." Liza patted the couch cushion beside her.
"No, I am not sitting down till I know who the fuck it is." I pulled at my hair.
Lauren walked in with Emilio holding her hand. "What's wrong?" She immediately walked over to me and let Emilio go to Liza.
"I need to know who." My voice cracked as I got close to crying.
"It's okay, Mi Alma. Emilio is safe with us." She wrapped her arms around me. "Jump up."
I didn't hesitate and jumped into her arms.
Her hands went underneath my thighs and I broke down in her arms.
"What's wrong Mommy?" Emilio asked from beside us.
"She just needed a hug. Even grown ups need hugs." Lauren dismissed him with a half lie. I did need one of her hugs. I needed one of her hugs so I could feel safe enough to cry.
I held onto her as tightly as possible and continued to bawl my eyes out till a random thought crossed my mind.
"What's wrong?" Lauren asked me cautiously, probably scared of my random mood change.
"Morgan." I whispered.
"What?" She put me down.
"Morgan. It's Morgan." I ran my fingers through my hair.
"How could it be Morgan? She wouldn't still be caught up with you after all these years. That's beyond unhealthy." She looked me up and down, but the room went quiet.
"Her dad died recently. It left her with quite a bit of money." Mike spoke softly.
"How do you know this?" Camila spoke up and asked the question we were all wondering.
"I get updates on her because she has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals and still infatuated with Nat. She chose Natilie and has been attached to her on an unhealthy level. She's literally insane. She fits the profile too well." His facial expression was blank. "That psychopath." He got up and grabbed his jacket. "I'm going to kill her. I should've when I had the chance."
Now it was my turn to stop him. "Woah woah woah. Have a connection do it. That or give a tip to someone you know from the department. Don't go and kill her yourself. We need you. Without you I'd be dead by now. More than likely several years ago."
He growled and threw his jacket on the ground.
"Pick that up and keep anger in in front of Emilio. He looks up to you." I lightly smacked his arm. "Do what you need to do. Just make sure she isn't a threat anymore."
After a few deep breaths he nodded his head and picked up his jacket.
"I'll call one of my friends for the department and let him know. He was another homicide detective. A rookie, but a good one." Mike left the room after grabbing his phone.
"Confrontation follows me like a shadow." I mumbled to myself. "I try to run away from it, but it's still right behind me no matter what."
We went on to perform that night. I somehow managed to pull it together enough to not be a psychotic bitch and fly back to Miami to go find Morgan. I'm not scared of her anymore. I used to be, but I'm not anymore. I'd kill her if given the chance.
Mike was at the stage wing with Emilio the whole time so I knew Emilio was okay the whole time. When 5H was on stage he went back with my group.
Lauren is handling better than I am. That or she is keeping it in and trying to be the strong one. It is more than likely both knowing her.
But lord help her if I got my hands on the bitch. I'd rip her to shreds with my bare hands.
