POV: Lauren
"What do you mean you can't tell me? We tell each other everything?" I asked my wife as we ate in her group's dressing room with Emilio running around annoying Diego.
"She asked me not to tell anyone and I promised it. I love you with all of me, but she is my sister and I can't break that promise." Natilie gave me a look and I knew to drop it at that.
"I wouldn't tell anyone, but fine." I huffed and finished the rest of my lunch.
Mike came running into the room in a panic which set Emilio off and Diego started to whine because it scared Nat which definitely raised her heart rate.
"Mike, we talked about the running." I sighed as I picked up Emilio who was mumbling his normal sequence of words. "It's okay, Guapo. Uncle Mike is crazy sometimes."
"I came to tell you that Morgan has disappeared. No one can find her anywhere. The department is looking for her due to her being a prime suspect, and they can't find her, which makes her look even more suspicious." Mike let out a breath and I immediately looked over at Nat who was sitting in her chair with a blank expression on her face.
"I know how to find her." Natilie mumbled.
"If it involves you being in danger, it isn't allowed." I glared at her.
"If I was in Miami, alone, and the media wrote about it, Morgan would come out. You both know she would." Natilie looked at Mike and then me.
"No, I am not letting my wife get kidnapped again or get shot again. I am not losing my wife." I put my foot down. "You have a child now, Natilie."
"I am doing it for my child." Natilie snapped at me. "Next week, we have a week break before we perform in Hawaii, and then those few days we spend there are special." Natilie looked over at me. "With it being someone's birthday."
"Do you really want to get kidnapped when my birthday is the week after?" I looked at her. "Do you really want my twenty-ninth birthday present to be my wife murdered by her crazy ex?"
"I wouldn't get killed. I'm like a roach at this point." Natilie rolled her eyes. "We could have police undercover everywhere."
"I'm only allowing this if I get to be with you." Mike butted in.
"I'm not allowing this at all." I looked at him like he was stupid and put Emilio down when he started to squirm.
"One, you couldn't be with me. She knows you all too well. Two, I am a grown woman and can do whatever I deem necessary to keep my family safe." Natilie glared at me, and if looks could kill I'd be dead ten times over.
"How would you do it, Mi Alma? How?" I tried to stay calm since Emilio was in the room.
"Just walk the streets until she found me. The paparazzi would be giving live updates of where I was once they'd see me. It would be easy to find me." Natilie shrugged.
"Who's to say that she doesn't send a gang member to get you?" Mike put his hands on his hips.
"I know her. If she gets the chance to get her hands on me herself, she will." When she said that my stomach turned.
"If she were to kidnap you successfully, have you thought about what she would do to you? Have you?" I tried to take deep breaths, but air was being harder and harder to take in.
"I can't sleep at night because my son is in danger. She is offering a lot of money for someone to get him. I'm being given the chance to end it and protect my son, and I'm going to take it. I know you would too if the roles were switched." Natilie looked at me with a softened expression. It's safe to say that I haven't seen the Natilie I feel in love with in awhile, so seeing that put me at ease for a brief second.
