POV: Natilie
Here we are. On stage. On a world tour. Stopping to perform at a mall to split up travel days. Supposedly mature and professional, but we can't keep it together.
"Natilie, don't even look at me." Daisy put her hand up to block her vision as I did my best to stand at my mic stand without losing my shit.
I kept laughing into the mic instead of singing any of the lines.
"Natilie, hun, you have to sing. Not laugh. You get paid to sing." Liza patted my back, but she couldn't keep it together herself.
"I have the giggles. I'm sorry." I tried to defend myself, but I ended up completely stepping away from the mic and laughing, bending down some from how hard I was laughing.
Michelle took over my part and sang it in a weird voice as if I sang like that, and that didn't help me any either.
After the song was over, and I was only able to do the back vocals here and there, I went back to my mic and continued to laugh.
"What even made you laugh to begin with?" Michelle asked me.
"Daisy pointed something out, and now every time I look at her, Liza, or what she pointed out I start to laugh." My stomach hurt from laughing so hard.
"What did she point out?" Michelle had no idea what happened, so she was only laughing because we were laughing.
"The si-" I tried to point and explain, but I just couldn't.
"What?"
Daisy took a deep breath and turned away from me completely, so she wasn't even looking at Michelle since she was at the end. "The 'Caunt's Bakery' sign is broken." She rushed out and her voice got higher pitched as it went on.
"Oh my god!" Michelle then started to laugh when she saw it. The sign currently says 'Cunt's Bakery' and the 'S' is flashing, so it's even worse.
Then the whole crowd started to laugh.
"If we didn't have a guitarist there is no way I would've been able to get through that song." I wiped the tears from under my eyes to hopefully stop my makeup from running.
"We're supposed to have Q&A after this too." Liza held onto her mic stand and looked behind herself to gain her composure.
"Next song is Say It, so look forward to that while we get our shit together." Michelle slipped up.
"Michelle!" Liza, Daisy, and I said it at the same time. "No cussing!"
"What did I say?" She furrowed her eyebrows, completely oblivious to the fact that she just cussed.
"Shit." Daisy answered her too close to the mic.
"Jesus Christ." Liza shook her head. "We're going to be in so much trouble with our label, again."
"It was Michelle that time!" I defended myself. Between Michelle and I having no filters and Daisy oblivious to when she says something 'wrong', our label despises us, but keep us because we make them bank.
"'That time' were the two key words there." Liza rolled her eyes.
"What is the most embarrassing gift you have ever gotten?" A fan in her mid twenties asked.
"Shorty, you got the best one." Michelle snickered.
I sucked my lips in as the crowd began to cheer me on so I'd say it. "Mi abeula gave me..." I sighed and shook my head as my Latino accent came out. "Condoms as a joke."
